So, what you are saying is that Amare lacks the equipment to be a stud.

I think it's because he is too satisfied.

he doesn't have any pg that can pass him the ball and at the end of the day he is power forward.

he still has carmelo firing up from every angle even if he makes 5/22.

    and he is still overrated

Their team desperately needs a better PG. It's hard to believe how bad Shumpert and Douglas are. D'antoni's system even made Raymond Felton look good.

I thought it was a mistake to cut chauncy to sign chandler. The biggest reason is because chauncey has played with melo and he respects billups big time. When melo want to dominate the ball, billups can get melo to move around and get into another flow. Amare had felton 1st who was a prety good pg and then chauncey at the end who is a pretty good pg. Douglass isn't in either of those guys class. If they wanted to do something, they could've traded for someone like sessions to compensate for the loss of billups.

Why would the Magic give up Howard by far the best big man in the game for 2 guys in Chandler and Amare that have a combined 35 million a year salary. Chandler and Amare are 2 of the worst contracts in the NBA.

Signing Amare at $20MM/year was a mistake. The lopsidedness of the Melo trade was another. Cutting Chauncey to lock in long term to Chandler broke the camel's back.

    They are stuck.

The Knixies had to sell some sizzle to their Zekely disaffected fan base. Amare was their default choice. Melo was the wrong pairing. Chandler was a smart pick-up oops, at the cost of CB. Hmm. What kind of planning went into that roster?

Still. By next season the Knixies will have added enough nice pieces to be a Top-4 seed and a tough out. Let's hope this season flops. Hard. Cause I don't care about their next season.

I think D'Antoni is going to get fired at this rate. Does anyone know why they're playing so much ISO ball? D'Antoni needs to fit his system around his players. There's no Steve Nash on his team.

Hmm. That's an interesting thought! But wouldn't being good at creating matchup problems be a good thing and not a bad thing?

As long as he scores 20 and grabs 10, does it matter who was defending him?

That said, I never though Amar'e was a GREAT player. But he is very athletic and can score. I remember him being in the MVP conversation in his last year in Phoenix. Him leaving really hurt that team.
