I'm wierd, I didn't start watching this game till the third quarter, I was watching Carnivale and the News. Anyway, I just had a feeling it wasn't over. I had the same feeling in that Jets, Dolphins game about two seasons ago when the Jets made that amazing comeback. Unfortunately, I was watching that a friend's and left early and missed the comeback. Do you guys think Payton may finally turn the corner from being just a very good quarterback who puts up incredible stats to a guy his team believes in till the end?
The Oiler loss was worse due to the enormity of the situation. Tampa Bay has plenty of tomorrows, the Oilers didn't. The Oiler game was on national TV as well and probably had just as many, if not more, viewers. While TB has a supposedly great defense, the Bills were using their backup QB against a fairly good defensive team. The Colts were using one of the top QBs in the league last night. In the general scheme of things, however, it is worse to blow a 21 point lead in 4 minutes than a 32 point lead in 25, however.
Make up call for Grammatica's running into the kicker crap. Elway also had 3td in final 2 minutes once. Probably against KC. Can't remember. But this was definately an amazing comeback. And they left time on the clock too.
F&@K! I fell asleep when the Colts were getting their a$$es kicked. Also.... If the outcome is as great as this, maybe we should never have the edit function again.
What's up beotch? I'm calling you out! You jabbed at me in the baseball playoff thread "Raiders are coming to town Sonnyboy, you ready?" (I have people who can back me up on this). What you got to say now? Pull up the skirt and take it like a professional! btw - I turned this game off at 21-7 with like 10 minutes to go. I switched over after the Sox game and I thought this was over. Dang it!
After cooling down a bit, I can say that I am not that concerned about my Bucs. There were a couple of contributing factors that lead to the comeback, but the biggest was the loss of Kelly and the subsequent failure of the staff to realize Wansley just could not cover Harrison. The decimation of the offensive skill players didn't help their cause either. It really irked me to see Rice just standing there on a few plays; if he is that winded put in a backup. Automatica has hit from 65 yards before, so I was hoping they would kick on their last possession. Anyway, I always thought Dungy was a fantastic coach, and I think this just may have been a Super Bowl preview.
This was talked about earlier in the post... And, I believed that the Oilers loss will still live on in the memory of everybody... But, you can't underestimate the fact that the Bills came back at home, and the Colts did this on the road. In the NFL, the road team is ALWAYS at a disadvantage... and it was quite remarkable they were able to do this.
