Next year Brooks will be 4 inches taller. So he will be 6'1. He is right now 5'9?

I simply don't want to see AB is our PG next season whether start or from the bench.

he absolutely is vital to our success. his quickness is a huge mismatch for the other team.

Your question was about recalling seeing something. Well, one way to find out is to DVR the game so you can go back and look. And it appears that your myth that Brooks didnt throw the ball to Yao has been debunked.

Yep. Lowry knows how to initiate the offense. Aaron Brooks knows how to get blocked and to dribble a lot. Doug Collins even pointed out AB's tendency to over dribble and how that basically screwed the rockets out of a possession and AB's tendency to throw ankle high passes, especially this one that also ruined a posession because BAttier fumbled with it and missed that corner 3 that he's normally money with.

I thought Brooks was subpar tonight not because he didn't pass, but because he wasn't offensively aggressive enough. We need Brooks to look to drive into the paint and put pressure on the opposing defense. The few shots he took tonight were tentative or at the end of the shot clock.

His passing wasn't bad, though he did miss some open players. He made quite a few drive-and-dishes, so I'm surprised his assist numbers weren't slightly higher.

Overall, Brooks needs to remain consistently aggressive with his offense for this team to be effective.

As for Lowry, he had a mediocre first half along with the other backup guys, Landry, Hayes and Wafer. However, he was very aggressive in the second half, looking to drive into the paint and push the ball up the court when he can. Even if he didn't make the shot, the Blazers had to adjust their defense. On top of that, he played his usual good defense and came up with some big rebounds. Adelman made the right move going with Lowry at the end tonight.

He needs to shoot the damm ball when he's opened. Stop being stupid and dribble or pass to someone like Ron at the corner. He's a better shooter than Ron, so if you're open and Ron is open and he chose to pass to Ron for the 3, then HE IS STUPID!!

AB is useless when his shot is off. Oh, he can create open looks for his teammates with his blazing speed, but he prefers to force a layup with 5 defenders on him instead of dishing it out.

When he's confident and his shots are falling, it changes the whole dynamic of the game though. Rockets become a lot more dangerous offensively all of a sudden. AB's problem is consistency.

And if AB can start creating offense and dishing to open teammates after drawing defenders with his speed, he would easily be a starting caliber PG..

When his shots are not falling, he basically useless. Quickness won't do him any good when he only 5'11 because he will get rejected like couple times tonight. He need to play smarter, work on his midrange shot off screen and be create plays when he can't score. Court vision wise- Lowry is way better and that make him a better pg.

overall he hasn't contributed in any wins. he plays well when we are bound to win anyways, but when the game's one the line i haven't seen him make any clutch plays. he's made some clutch 3s in game 2 (which may have been too little too late), which we were losing because of his turnovers at the end. also how many clutch fts has this guy missed. trade him and tmac for nash and amare and try to win a championship next year.

dude if you read and understand my arguement correctly, apart from the previous 2 posts or so I was never accusing Aaron Brooks of not passing to Yao enough...instead I was wondering if Yao's lack of touches had anything to do with Brooks...never said aaron didn't pass to him...but with all his dribbling around and lack of penetration and court vision..yao's lack of touches had something to do with that perhaps wouldnt u think??? well instead of telling me to tivo this tivo that I think a logical person would simply have added to the thread in a less moronic way...

what quickness? how many times have you seen blake blow by this joker only to have someone else help on defense which creates open opportunities for the blazers. brooks has no defense, is inconsistent in his scoring, can't create for others, and is extremely unclutch. in a western conference loaded with elite point guards, he is probably the worst starting pg on a playoff team.

Brooks is the new Francis. He dribbles the shot clock down without knowing what to do with the ball.

When Brooks is not shooting when he's in there....it's irritating. Especially when you see him wide open. What the hell is he trying to do?? And i have to question his basketball IQ. Why would you rather let Artest shoot a 3 when you're wide open yourself?? Unless you're dumb and don't realize you're a better shooter?? And why would you drive in and try to do a layup and get blocked while you're wide open for a 3?? These are some of the things that irritate me.
