he doesn't have to worry about being a point guard,
he can now just play ball and school derek fisher.

    this is his game.

kinda reminds of Cassell post Rockets with the Bucks when he was putting insane numbers.

Which validates a lot of people saying he is probably better served coming off the bench so he doesn't have to think about how he's going to get Yao the ball.

He contributes to winning, but he would do it better if he was on the bench. He's been frustrating me all season as a starter. I had no problems with him on the bench though.

But it is entirely possible for Aaron to come off the bench AND contribute to winning. The two are not mutually exclusive. Unless this type of game becomes more and more common for him(3 great offensive games in 10 play-off games) I fully expect to see Brooks leading the charge from the bench after about December or January of next year. Lowry will be ready by then to overtake the starting duties.

AB is a frigging SECOND year player and who has started less than half a season and this is his FIRST playoffs. The dude is playing great and he is playing as good if not better than Tony Parker did at the same stage in his career. AB is a gamer and a keeper.

If he did he played VERY FEW minutes. Remember Bobby Jackson was the backup last year and AB was 3rd off the bench.

If you don't think AB is a starting quality point guard in this league, you might want to follow a different sport.

His playmaking skills are gradually improving every game this postseason and we all know he can score. He's like a young Tony Parker(who is not known for his passing).

Bottom line: his offensive game needs to be in the starting lineup and he can grow into a sufficient playmaker.

Yeah he did play in the postseason last year. In the 2 games that Alston did not start, he played sparingly as Bobby Jackson's backup. In the other games that Alston did start, he played little if at all.

I have to give props to DD.

    You have sharp eyes, Sir!

I was sold on brooks until the game 1 with Laker.

however, I just don't think brooks will do well with Yao, their games just don't click on each other.
