You're right, my bad. I was looking up players that had a triple double and 8+ blocks, and it brought up Hakeem and DRob's quadruple doubles, plus a game where Robinson had 27pts/12reb/10ast/8blk (no steals). Mixed 'em up.
I haven't looked up stats, but 10 steals is extremely rare by itself. I doubt any player has ever even really come close to having 10 blocks and 10 steals not to mention having 10 assists as well. Technically possible, but realistically impossible.
Only one player in history has had as many as 7 and 7 (contrary to my earlier, incorrect post). He also had 38 points, 17 boards, and 6 assists (and 12 blocks). Spoiler "sup?"
Kirilenko and Hakeem Olajuwon are the only 2 NBA players who have finished a game with at least 6 steals, 6 blocks, 6 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists since 1985–86. This should help answer your question.
An internet search suggests that Wilt actually did it....but steals and blocks were not kept officially so not sure I believe it. However, if anyone could do it, Wilt definitely could. Wilt Chamberlain- 54 points, 36 rebounds, 14 assists, 24 blocks, 11 steals http://www.nbadraft.net/forum/best-statistical-games-nobody-ever-talked-about
Hakeem was 4 assists and 3 steals away from such a feat. He had 38 points, 17 rebounds, 12 blocks, 7 steals, 6 assists. Greatest Center of all time
Do remember that Bill Russel and Wilt Chamberlain had the unfair advantage of blocks and steals not being recorded. Given the dominance those two (especially Wilt) displayed, my gut tells me the "quintuple double" has already been achieved.
Hakeem had a 29-18-9-11-5 game. 1 assist and 5 steals away. Probably the closest anyone has come to it since blocks and steals were tracked.
I was thinking the same thing too, except I'm not sure how good Russell and Chamberlain were at steals. I feel like they would have had some trouble, especially Wilt at 7'1".
