Probably should've just made all the away teams forfeit if they weren't already in town and ready to play.

Are those teams too high and mighty to take a bus?

And what about those whiny Columbine kids? They should've been counted absent for any classes after around noon. No one was in deadly peril at that point since the killers were dead. But instead of going back to class like they should have, they all went home.

While all valid points, where exactly is the line?

    An horrific natural Disaster?
    A terrorist Attack?
    A death in the family?
    A tragic death of a fellow student/coworker?
A loved one involved in a tragic, but not fatal, accident?
    A bad divorce?
    A bad sickness?
    An injury?
    A bad depression?
    A hangover?
An unwillingness to not want to go?
    An indifference?

The line certainly has to be drawn. I guarantee you that the excuses I just put up are as valid to some on the bottom on the list, as to some on the top of the list.

I'm not saying it is fair, just that different people prioritize in different ways.

Hell yeah Tampa Bay is up 2 nothing in the first....hope they win both games and show the yankees the real reason they didn't want to play and wanted a forfeit.

Cuase they have been having trouble with the Rays for a while.....

If it leads on the 6 o'clock news...consider your excuse valid.

The curse of the Astros no hitter is still on. The Yankees will never win again. Mark my words.

You know what line is being drawn? A fricken natural disaster that basically shut down an entire state. The Yankees (and their soulless, whiny fans) are panicing that a $200 million payroll is going to miss the playoffs they way they've been playing. How the mighty have fallen! They want to be given a win against the D-Rays.....nice! Earn on the field, crybabies.

Actually, they wanted to earn it on the field. The Devil Rays didn't show up. What they didn't want was for their opponents to reschedule their games.

i kinda understand your opinion. If the Devils decided not to play and stay with there family they should accept the consequence.
BUT i think it is classless that the yankee do not understand it and want a forfeit. It is understandible that players want to be with there family. I think the yankee's should show some class and try to understand such a situation. They would want the sae from other team when the Yankee's have such problems.
