Perhaps we should redraw the middle east according to pre-Islamic tribal lines.

LOL. That would be kinda be pointless eh? Try and think a bit here....

It definitely wasn't a good idea to re-draw the Middle East, putting two competing sects into the same country for example. Catholics and Protestants got history as do Shiites and Sunnis.

As horrific as this is this is a sign of DAESH's desperation as their state is being dismantled on the battlefield. Unfortunately they will likely be around for a long time as a terrorist organization and a motivator for terrorists attacks but it is looking likely that they will lose the actual territory they control.

Death toll now over 200. Can't wait for the dmoneybang's of the CF world to come in here telling us that we do not understand statistics. I certainly understand: the illiberalatti certainly does not give an f- until some says something critical of Islam or blames this on radical militant Islam.

LOL. Sorry I don't seek simple answers to complex issues. Was this bomber educated or uneducated?

Some folks still don't understand why Muslims are killing scores of other Muslims.

The scary part is that groups like ISIS don't actually need any territory when they can sit behind computers taking advantage of people's vulnerabilities.

Al-Qaeda's top two ranking members on the eve of 9/11 were the son of a millionaire and a medical doctor. Right, the narrative is all wrong, obviously bin Laden did not have enough money and Zawahiri was really all that educated.

    Wow.... you win....

It's like these terrorists networks need educated people to operate them... People educated in computer science.... People educated in finance... People educated in engineering...

Instead of playing gotcha with random links showing how several hundred people disproves "the educated narrative" out of ~1.6 billion of Muslims.... how about you use critical thinking and figure out the social, political, and economic issues that allows terrorism to thrive?

Like I keep repeating.... Simple people look for simple answers.... Why are some of you so eager to show how simple you are? Bizarre.....

What is it you believe is driving this violence? ISIS bombs Sunni, Shiite, Druze, Yazidi, Christian, etc. Essentially anyone they view as an apostate is a target. You think ISIS bombing Sunni Saudi Arabia is due to a Sunni-Shiite divide?

A bunch of factors obviously. I'd elaborate but I am not sure you've moved beyond "playing gotcha" and would rather not waste my time.

ISIS is one of many groups. Singling out ISIS and trying mold your question around that one particular group isn't very fruitful. Obviously ISIS, adheres to an extreme and literal version of the Sunni Sect, Wahhabi. Why ISIS attacks Saudi Arabia? I'd imagine because within Saudia Arabia there is a contingent trying to modernize their country away from Wahhabi. ISIS hates globalism because globalism represents secularism.
