I stand by the US troops in a time of War. I can understand the US military position, they are trying to prevent insurgents from shooting RPG's, or setting up IED's to harm our troops. It's a War, my brother was in a base in Iraq this past month, 5 incomings a day average. So those insurgents are not following rules of engagement so why should our TROOPS!!!

so you realize and admit that US soldiers don't follow ROE and you're okay with it because the other side does it?

What is the goal in Iraq? Is it to kill people or win the hearts of Iraqis? If the goal is to win the hearts of Iraqis, you do not accomplish this by killing civilians. The way to win these type of assymetrical war is not to kill as many bad guys as you can (like in a regular war).

Why should the US follow it if the insurgents refuse, give them a taste of their own medicine. US should just Carpet Bomb those insurgents!!

I have a better idea we should just kill every Iraqi men women and children, that will solve all the problems for sure. Maybe we should nuke them all.

How old are you again, I am sure glad you are not in charge of the armed force in Iraq.

We should never have been there in the first place, but since we are in that **** hole already, might as well try to do the best of the terrible situation.

Are the troops safer now in Iraq or two years ago? Are you capable of critical reasoning?

I was talking about an opportunity wasted. Today, I'm not certain we can do much more good in Afghanistan, but in 2002, we could have done great things for that country to repay it for the way we abandoned them in the '80s.

I agree with you. Afghanistan was the right thing to do because 9/11 was launched from there. Iraq diverted our manpower, funding, and attention and may have made the whole endeavor fail.

They didn't know this, the strap for a camera looks a lot like the strap for a rifle when viewed from a distance from an AC-130.

I don't buy this per say, but even if I did it does not excuse the killing of the wounded or the children. Or the glee taken in such rampant execution.
