Exactly..this is def rigged..my mom is vacationing in Iran right now, and said how as she went out in the streets she was certain that their would be a new president. I just don't see how this margin is so wide..

Well what most people don't realize is that the power for the clerics comes from everywhere in the country EXCEPT the big cities. The same holds true for Ahmeddinejad, how this affects the election I am not sure, don't know about the electoral system. So I don't know if your mother's perception represents that for the whole country.....

i think that we are going to see some serious riots and protest over this election. it doesn't really seem possible that the margin of victory could be so large for ahmadinejad. :(

That's the whole point. That tells you the results are fraudulent. If those in power had just a little subtlety and rigged the vote count to be fairly close, the election might not look like a complete joke. Nobody in their right mind believes it was a landslide for Ahmadinejad. This is why I think it was probably a landslide the other way.

Mullahs aren't really idiots, how I wish they were, they are practically one of the greatest manipulators of all time, when I was 17 they brainwashed a lot of us to fight in a war, to commit suicide when need be, heck they even made the younger ones run towards land minds. I could never forget seeing one of them blow up. they are tactical geniuses who pray on people's weaknesses, they take for granted that people are susceptible to bs and write it down as faith. Mahmoud is what he is, but people like Rafsanjani are worse without any doubt, this man sold the rights to Irans oil to total for 500 million dollars, he is despicable and if there was someone near Beelzebub in caliber of evil, it would be this man.

"it's not possible" seems to be the general thought right now.

Protests Greet Ahmadinejad Win in Iran: 'It's Not Possible!'

Iran's Interior Minister announced Saturday that incumbent president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had won 63.29% of the vote in the nation's closely watched presidential poll. The announcement, greeted with widespread skepticism by Iranian opposition supporters and by foreign analysts, has brought thousands of people onto the streets where they have encountered a strong police presence and the threat of violence.

Rumors of vote rigging had been flying for hours before the official announcement. At about 11 p.m. Friday, less than an hour after polls closed, reformist challenger Mir-Hossein Mousavi held a press conference and declared that he knew — based on the observations of his campaign officials at polling booths — that he had won a majority of the vote. But rigging was already underway, said Mousavi, who warned that he and the people would stage mass protests if their votes were not respected.

there is talk right now that the election was rigged that way not by iranian officials, but by third parties, makes sense, the mullahs arent stupid, watch the run off between piece of dirt Rafsanjani and Mahmoud and you would see tactical brilliance.

The military needs to overthrow the mullahs and then seek peace with proper elections.
