Multiple Iranian twitters have mentioned this.

BTW American TV coverage is absolute garbage on the Iran crisis.

That is understandable since they're being forced to be careful on what to report.

I think the best thing the world can do is watch and let it unfold.

Revolution is an internal process. It has worked as an internal process. The might of the sword is not supreme as history has shown us. How many autocratic regimes have fallen when the people no longer find it legitimate?

Democracy isn't imposible, it can not be granted, it is taken by the people. That is it's very definition. When Iranians overthrew the shah, that was democracy in action, even if it was not to our liking.

Now...Iran is in a different point. How much legs do the people have? How many and how far are they willing to go. Is this just another Tineneman square? Or is this Mousavi the next Yeltsin.

And let's not forget that Mousavi is no friend of the U.S. He is not the "good" guy. Perhaps less toxic, but certainly comes with his own challenges.

Sometimes the devil you know is better than the devil you don't.

Either way, this is fascinating, history in motion.

I'm going to venture a guess that if Hezbollah beats and kills any students, it could boomerang very hard against them and the government. I'm no scholar on Iran, but I've known a few people from the country. The idea of bringing in Arabs to beat back Iranians and keep them in order could be repulsive to quite a few people.

To our Clutchfans members from Iran, what do you think?

the twitter aspect is what i find most particularly fascinating about what is currently unfolding. if this develops into something, there will be university courses devoted to this aspect alone.

The students are spreading to fully resist the arab speaking men outside the dorm because otherwise hezbollah will take them, and likely kill them. Hundreds of students have been 'detained'.

To those following it on twitter, do you recommend subscribing to any particular ones that would keep me updated through my blackberry? I am hooked on this as well and I am trying to find a better way to tune in than CNN.

Appreciate the suggestions guys and gals

As long as you don't get naked and make a pest of yourself, no one is going to stop you from groping your girlfriend in Austin "in public." Couples make out in public parks there. I've lived in Austin for 29 years and have seen numerous "hot and heavy" instances over that time, in public, not that I was looking for them (I grope my wife, thank you very much!).

Iran has to topple the theocracy from within. The people have to rise and put paid to the mullahs and their supporters. We can't "force" a revolution on them and a military intervention would be an act of madness, in my opinion. I wish the Iranian people luck. As we know from our own history, revolutions do not come without a price.

What bothers me about this the most......is that Iran is rallying around Mir-Hossein Mousavi and he is no doubt.....a pile of shhhhhhhhhhit! His past is un-fricking-real!

Either way, I feel this is a lost cause.

Iran is in trouble. I cant think about what will happen weeks from now. This is really sad. Real sad.

My prayers go out to their people. The innocent. They need better than this ****e!
