Man, fortune is smiling upon Barack Obama leading up to the election.

No one has really concluded that they're building a weapon or building towards a weapon. Quite the contrary. It's hugely based on suspicion, a bit similar to Iraq.

For that reason, if this were not just before an election Obama would call BS on this claim. But given it is right before an election and Romney would call BS, we'll see what happens.

Iran is going to slow down the entire program between now and next summer, count on it.

I find it funny how often Iran makes this type of significant announcement, but some tend to get lost in the crowd, and others become matters of great importance.

Also, can I just say about this article:

It is an absolute joke. As you can see from the picture, these are the ultra-conservatives. In Iran, large protests can be (and are) instantly created by massive government departments telling their entire staff to join and chant whatever they are told to chant lest they want to lose their job in a crappy economy made crappier by the sanctions.

There is ZERO legitimacy to this type of action except as far as being a hint of what their leaders think and plan. The huge majority of the PEOPLE of Iran never ever do this, they don't dress like this, they don't behave like this, they don't talk like this, they are just average people looking for a good life.

Without any exaggeration, I can tell you the huge majority of Iranians hate these protests every bit as much as we do. Even people at these protest at times do not want to be there but for fear of losing their job and being singled out by their hardliner bosses. Don't ever forget that the seizure of the embassy and subsequent Islamicization of Iran was an attack on the US AND an attack on most Iranians especially those who propelled the revolution.
