If America backs out and puts sanctions into place but Iran keeps the deal with the rest of the world, how effective will unilateral sanctions be against Iran? It seems like a stupid idea. Not only is America not leading with an Iranian treaty they are now off the bus, and the rest of the world will move on without us.
She doesn't need to claim to be a smart person... Here's her profile in Time Magazine: http://time.com/5056523/beatrice-fihn-nobel-peace-prize/
How did you type all this and not even remotely hit on the topic of backing out of an international nuclear agreement for reasons that are questionable at best? All you did was take a bunch of strawman arguments that you think everyone on the left believes and use that as justification for why Trump supposedly isn't wrong, which is a pretty absurd way of making a point.
Trump should have probably left this one alone. Unless he has information that Iran was not agreeing to the deal. Oh well, no turning back.
Looks like Israel is trying to drag out a military response from Iran. Israel launched a strike against an Iranian missile depot in Syria soon after Trump announced the US would be quitting the nuclear deal. Reports say Israel claimed these missiles were going to be imminently used against Israel and this was a pre-emptive strike. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2018/05/08/iran-military-base-in-syria-attacked-sources-say.html I doubt Iran or Syria respond.

He does not. Or if he does, he's crazy for not sharing it, since if Iran violated the deal (they did not according to our own intel), he can put sanction back without withdrawing from the deal and with support from the other nations to enact sanctions. Meaning, if Iran violated the deal, international sanctions can be put in place while inspection continue. And if Iran kick out inspection, they would go a step further and we would have a much better case for military actions (with better support from the world). But instead, we chose to violate the agreement, and we no longer have ground for international support (possibly even if and when Iran chooses to start up their weaponize nuke program again). And that might be the whole point - US and Israel to act alone without regard to Iran's compliance to the deal.
Dude your as clueless as trump he has brought anything to the table the only reason why NK is trying to get back in is because of the sanctions that were put in place by President Obama. So stop trying to make trump look like he has done anything at all worthy of praise cause he hasn't.
Ok I see the majority of you guys think that is a bad move so I am leaning that way. What were the positives of Obama's deal?
Iran couldn't enrich Uranium above 3.67%. 90% is required to make a nuclear weapon. Iran reduced stockpile of Uranium by 98% We could reenact sanctions if Iran violated the deal Those are some positives
A few other points as well- It also put more pressure on the regime to produce jobs and wage growth for their citizens. It really brought sunlight on the corruption that plagued their economy. Now they have the propagated gift that Trump is giving them to rule less like a democracy. Also it created leverage with Iran to be able to hold in account their bad behavior with the threat of sanctions if Iran violated the deal. Now we violated the deal first. Lastly it creates a pretense for a North Korea deal which will center mostly around removing sanctions and allowing UN inspections and global accountability. That’s all a side point to the positive that it takes the threat of nuclear off the table in global affairs for 10 years to where they couldn’t destroy Israel with a nuke.
