The instability in Iraq is a direct result of the invasion that dismantled the Baath party. Another decade of the status-quo of leaving our troops their in a hopeless cause was not going to change ****.

As to Iraq, if the US never withdrew troops, the country would be a LOT more stable than it currently is. That's really inarguable. Pulling troops out caused a vacuum of power that was filled by people like IS and the Iraqi military wasn't strong enough to defend the country. Had we done like we've done with every country we've ever been to war with and maintained a stabilizing force in country, they'd be better off. Unfortunately Bush came up with a bad idea of pulling everyone out and Obama went along with it and took credit for it.

 

I'll take that as a "yes". Seek help and make sure not to skip your meds.

Again, repeating myself... The status of forces agreement signed in 2008 was a binding agreement with another sovereign nation. Even if Obama urged the Iraqi leadership for an extension (which he did), it was ultimately THEIR decision.

Again, your logic entails that we don't blame BP for the oil spill but the clean up crew.
