Lol. Yeah that's a hell of a trade. Good news for people that want the phone and don't want ATT, though it seems like a bit of work.
The latest rumors circling Wall Street (actually it's been rumored for a while now) is that a second iPhone is coming... possibly by the end of the year... hmmmm...
You have talked me into it, I'm currently bidding on one on EBAY. EDIT: Bought it....but it doesn't come with those pimpin headphones. Comes with a bluetooth ear piece instead.
I wish they would put out a 100GB iPod with web browsing like the iPhone and then let people hook it up with whoever. Also the ability to upload your DVD's into your iTunes/iPod like with CD's. I don't see the point of iPhone if you have to use a slow ass network to browse. I'd love to get one but it sounds like I won't really be able to use it like I'd want.
No, they're guessing the next one will either have 3G and/or be cheaper. It may have other changes, too. Of course this is all rumor right now, so take it with a can of salt. If ya haven't figured Apple out yet, they update often and people will pay full price for the updates. By the way, the stock has popped on the rumblings that Apple may meet their expected quota for iPhone sales and the possibility of another iPhone by the end of the year. Hope y'all hung onto the stock because barring the catastrophic, the September - December timeframe could be fun for this company, especially with the new OS coming out.
Ive been typing on my moto q for the past weeks and I was shocked to see he ipod fit the same dimenions and width as this phone. The touch keypad is really that bad for one handers, but from my first impression the software is very intuitive and will serve future cell phones. As for my Q, I'll be trading it for the htc Mogul. It was either that or the treo 755. Treo's probably better for one handers, but the screen on the mogul can't be beat...less the ipod.
The iPhone has been unlocked (well, for free, that is)! Cue the "Yub Nub" Ewok song! Story link #1 and link #2
I got the Mogul from the sero plan (search fatwallet), and I enjoy it a lot. The style is like the Tmobile Wing, but it's for business users and Office is included. Pros: There are a lot more features on it (stereo bt/messenging/takes advantage of Sprint's EVDO network) and there's a solid developer community to fix bugs. Cons: It is not as user friendly as the iphone. The screensize is 2.8 inches...large enough to watch movies but not as impressive as the iphone. And it can lag at times even with its dual core processor. The GPS feature isn't true satellite GPS. Although there's a keyboard, not as slim as the iphone. Retail price is 549, but after rebates and it was 75 out of my pocket.
I have the Cingular version of that phone and love it. There is a new version of that called the HTC Touch (only available in Europe right now) that I'd love to get since it has the more interactive interface similar to the iPhone but knock on it is that they only have EDGE internet on it. I love having the 3G network and it would be difficult to down shift back to EDGE.
