They need to update some of the stuff on Cydia... but I can't wait to start using tethering and other cool stuff that I wasn't able to do before. Some of this stuff will come in handy.

Holy moly, that took about 2 minutes with no reboot. Easily the easiest hack I've ever done. And I thought the original jailbreak was easy.

Can anyone who has Jailbroke their iPhone 4 tell me how it has affected speed, etc etc.

Also, I was shocked to hear that it was really this easy. I remember how big of a pain it was going through Pwnage tool, creating firmwares, etc etc. But this is SO simple. Great job by all the guys who did it.

Haven't noticed a difference in speed yet.

However, extra rows and columns aren't working yet via Cydia.

I have a iphone 3GS 4.0 and I'm cautious to do this. It seems complicated.

What about going to Safari on your phone, typing in an address and clicking yes is complicated?

You enter the url from the OP's post. Slide the slider. It downloads and jailbreaks. Done.

Yes -- as I said when you first mentioned you have the 3GS with 4.0, it's really easy to jailbreak.

I have a 3GS iPhone, and my brothers ******* friend turned it into a brick. I was at my his apartment and while he was playing with my phone he said he wanted to install Cydia. I told him he could not jailbreak it because I updated my phone. He checked the version and acted like it would be okay. I never would have let him touch my iPhone, but I wasn't thinking straight that day as my car had just been towed from his apartment complex.

Anyways, a couple weeks later I turn my phone on today and now it won't power on. It shows the Apple logo and a weird rainbow colored line on the top of the screen above the Apple logo.

I tried everything from putting it in DFU mode and recovery mode to restore it in iTunes...nothing works.

My iPhone has about 10 days left in the warranty.

    Any advice would be nice.

    I apologize for the bump.
