Its highly addictive and a huge waste of time. And after 94 lvl's I realized my base will always get beat and that there will always be something to upgrade. And it sucks because the game actually is very fun when you have friends to play with and taking time of your day to plan an attack in war. This game actually makes people think and that's not all that bad. With that said I wish the game had more balance or that they would slash gem cost in half. I'm not opposed to buying gems but in over a year and a half I have not seen a single sale or deal....... Cut the cost of gems or cut the cost of upgrades.....
This is how it is to me. I've been playing for like 3 years but literally all i do is login capture my gold and elixir and check how many more days it is until something finishes upgrading. Wars are somewhat entertaining. I prefer Castle Clash where you have the same base building foundation but the game revolves around heroes that you have to collect, upgrade, and then there are numerous ways to customize them with talents. While COC only has attack or wars as activities, Castle Clash has like 10 different mini battle type activities all with different strategies.
I have not gotten to the WAR PARTY just yet don't know anyone in my Clan . . but have donated a few troops Might look into Castle Clash Rocket River
108 TH 9. Upgrading walls to level 10 now which absolutely sucks. Also, I'm upgrading my heroes. 135k DE to upgrade my Queen to 27.
How much have you guys spent on this game? Just curious. Also, anyone here play Castle Clash before? I spent way too much money on this game LOL

Just wait. My walls cost 3 mil each. I think i'll do the TH 9.5 method when I finally max out my TH9.
Only money I spent is $20 at the beginning to get all the worker huts. Been playing for almost 3 years now. Few wall away from maxing out TH9
Love Castle Clash just much more fun to play because of how important heroes are where as troops are just about pointless. However if you don't have certain heroes like Pumpkin Duke, Vlad, Cupid, Aries etc. it's really hard to get ahead.
Yes- that's the biggest piece of advice I can give. Once you go up a TH, searching for a base to attack becomes more expensive. The amount of loot you can gain from other THs gets decreased. The amount of loot other THs can get from you increases. In short, it's a lot harder to upgrade everything the higher TH you get, so it's better to max out before you go up.
