Not to sound rude, but I believe the iPhone doesn't allow you to change Keyboards, you do realize you can turn off the predictive texting, change the keyboard from the default SWYPE to android (which I have found to be better). You can also download a different keyboard as noted above.

As for which phone. As long as I can get the Note 2 on an unlimited data plan like my sprint account, Im all over it like white on rice.

Gonna check it out, thanks...the keyboard has been the only thing that has kept me from really getting my panties wet about this phone.

I never cared about changing the iPhone keyboard because it was functionally exceptional. Therefore, its not really a knock on Apple for not being able to change keyboards (which you can actually do when the phone is jailbroken).

    About to try SwiftKey 3...

    EDIT:
SwiftKey is bad ass...thanks for the advice. Now I love my phone a little more.

I'm happy with my EVO LTE over the S3. And I've had it longer than the S3 has been out to boot.

You could make the argument that the EVO LTE is better, if not the same as the S3, but to each his own.

    And so goes Android....

I switched from iPhone 2 to HTC Thunderbolt (Android) and more recently rooted and switched to the ICS (free) keyboard. I may try SwiftKey but I am happy enough with the ICS kb.

Down the road I may look at Nexus versus SIII (or beyond, depending on when I change phones). I do know I will stay with Android... it is just as easy and app-rich as the iPhone at this point and way more personalized and offers better performance. The one advantage the iPhone has is battery life. But I am happy with my current phone so I am not anxious to make any change right now.

LOL at the public poll. Why does everyone care so much what phone other people use, or what the "best" phone is or will be. Not that it matters, but seems a little silly.

What you call silly can and is applied to almost every single person, creature, atom, and consumer product in existence. Almost anything you can possibly think of is compared to something similar.

Thanks. I'm here to help. How's battery life? I bought 2 extra batteries, but I haven't had the need to use them. Best phone that I've owned.

At the time of release, it was. Name a phone that was more advanced when it was released. The S2 was probably closest, but had a smaller resolution and lacked NFC.

I have never used an android phone, but they look good lately with the larger screens and I like parts of the interface as well. I haven't seen many for very long. <s>How is syncing various things on a device like that, for a user who's never done it? Music, movies, photos, files, whatever. What's the interface?</s> EDIT: google is amazing.found a good link on lifehacker, looks like it's through several apps, but is as smooth as can be.

Yes, though I was referring to the poll being public as it relates to people concerning themselves with what others use, not to the idea of product comparison.

I bought mine through Google. They charge you Tax and Shipping for Texas residents (not sure about other states). They usually ship it pretty quickly.

    Galaxy Note
Galaxy s2 and the Nexus are all but even. The G2 was at least half a year older.
HTC One X (newer to the nexus as the nexus was to the galaxy s2)
    Maybe the Razr Maxx

Point is that the Nexus wasn't a leaps and bounds ahead of the curve phone. Especially since it cheaped out on a lot of the more over looked features like Photo capabilities, poor video in comparision to higher end phones, crappy loudspeaker. Last but not least its horrible battery life.

Phones that were ground breakers, were makes like:

    First iPhones
    First Evo 4g
    Galaxy Note
    First Nexus
    Htc Hero
Galaxy S3 (its wonderful array of extra's)
    Razr
    Atrix

The last Nexus was just another option in a crowded field of similar devices.

I know I posted this in another thread, but this is the type of stuff that made the Note much more advanced than the Nexus.

The Galaxy Note wasn't a groundbreaker... lol. Just because it has a big screen doesn't make it one.

It's too bad when the battery life sucks on it that you don't get to use many of those "advanced" features. I'm glad I sold my Note and got the Nexus. I like the Nexus leaps and bounds better because of performance. Not only is Android laggy on the Note, but Samsung and AT&T suck at updating (and the updating process itself is a headache). I never found myself using the S-Pen very much because it honestly gets old after a while, at least for me anyway.

Wow. Did you watch the video? Is the Nexus or Iphone able to do any of the above features? Im don't know if your serious here.

Once again did you not click the link? The Note was rated #1 by a country mile in talk time battery life. It was once of the lowest in web browsing, but it was still above the Nexus, and considering the size of the screen it must power, this is completely understandable. Also it was rated one of the highest in video playback battery life. So I have no idea where you are coming from on that.

Finally if you find that the features of the Note are pointless, Id suggest not buying a phone that is obviously not geared towards people who don't need is stunning array of features and capabilities. NO phone can do what it does, so maybe you bought it as a status feature and had no idea how to utilize its features. Rewatch the video and get an idea of what you can do on it that you can't do on any other phone.

Battery has been great... At 10:15 pm, I'm sitting at 43% battery life and I've been using it since 8am... Can't really complain about anything, the phone has been incredible.
