Dangit, ive been waiting to upgrade since March. These announcement are going to keep me from ever buying a new phone.
That made my wife jump ship also. It rendered the phone useless with no way of downgrading. It wouldn't have been so bad if itunes didn't remind you to upgrade every time you plugged it into your computer.
Well the Samsung Focus is essentially a Galaxy running WP7. Samsung is also releasing two new phones very soon as well. As for nokia, they say it should be coming out soon, but everyone is sort hush on when that is. I think 2012 is a harsh overestimate seeing as how the nokias have already been spotted in the wild here and there...
The 4S felt sturdier in the hand because of its metal and glass construction. I was having difficulty holding onto Wifi signal with the GSII which confused me because it was full bars on all of my other devices. Additionally, I did not like that I could not quickly enter the camera on the GSII. The GSII certainly has a better front facing camera, better screen, and more open OS. The choice is yours!
I will definitely consider a Nokia Mango phone if it get released in the next month. Nokia's hardware is awesome.
Because they will likely screw you over on every major iOS updates. If they see something too good they will remove them. Seriously either go with Android because there are plenty phones to choose from and the hacker communities is pretty large. Learning curve is tremendously easy to root Android than the whole processing of Jailbreaking it and getting into major headache with plenty of errors when updating iOS. Or else wait and see what Windows Phone has to offer. I'm totally anticipating the arrival of Nokia for WP7.

Just totally bad industrial design but I don't think companies that are making Apple cases will complain. Business for everyone.
I hate putting cases on a phone. What's the point of getting a good-looking phone if your gonna put a nasty plastic case on it.
They sunk like 6 or 7 billion on it before turning a profit. They should just start giving away free phones eventually they will get something out of it.
Just stay away from engadget. http://www.pcworld.com/article/241955/smartphone_camera_battle_iphone_4s_vs_the_android_elite.html
eh. you can wait till Oct 26/27. I had the 3GS for about 2 years and now the iPhone 4 (6 months). iOS is getting boring. I am ready for a change in interface. This whole "who has the largest app selection" fight is really stupid. I download some of these apps just to use once.
I got a Galaxy S2 last week (switched fr an iPhone) and I absolutely love it. Blows my old phone away and I love all of the customization. Having said that the 4g looks line a very nice phone so it's pretty close. I'd say go with the Samsung if you want the larger screen and/or the customization.
