Here's what he wrote yesterday. [rquoter]I have been baking a **** load of cakes and pies. If there's something at someone's house, I would love to make something. Make a request if you want. Carrot cake, lemon pound cake, tunnel of fudge chocolate, cheesecake, pecan pie, yellow cake, coconut cake - all have been pretty successful. I always want to make something different too. [/rquoter] I suggested Pecan Pie and Peach Cobler as traditional bbq pies. But I also challenged him to a Key Lime Pie. When jamcracker picks a hobby, he goes all in!! I can't make pies, and not big on dessert that much.. so you pick Behad.
it is a good price, especially for the bowling...most centers charge 3.50+ per game these days. B, sure, i havent heard of any loads coming thru this weekend(yet) so i should be all good for Smeggy goodness festivities.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the Smeg's arrived safe and sound late last night. Later today they are going to have a Five Guys burger to help end (or fuel) the debate over who has the best burger.
Tell him to STAY AWAY from the one on Washington. It's horrible, everything is full of grease and the fries are always burnt.
i actually went to our local 5 guys soley cause of the talk here. not bad, not great, i didnt think the fries were that good but i would eat there again. disclaimer: i rarely eat burgers anymore, so i dont really have a good frame of reference as far as comparisons to other burgers. the main thing I really enjoyed was the tea, i had never had Gold Peak(i think thats the name) tea before and i found it very tasty.
I had the bacon cheeseburger with everything and it was great, fries were pretty good too, only improvement I could see would be to cook it medium or medium-rare Smeg jnr ate all her cheeseburger, another good sign More than happy to go back An in and out comparison later next week
Tonight, Smeg will be wearing a black t-shirt and jeans, and I will be in a white polo shirt with "Clear Creek Wildcats" logo on the pocket. Just so you guys will know who to look for.
I know all you cats are going to have a gas. Not in town this weekend, but wanted to offer a Hail and Hearty Texas holler to the Smegs. :-D- Hell yes!
