I like that battier pointed out they need a "shot maker" when the reporter was asking about a go to guy. I think fans often get hung up on needing that kobe/retro tmac type. Let's not forget not too long ago we were complaining about how tmac stopped the ball at times too much or shot too much. When the team has a cold spell during a game everyone demands we acquire a go to guy, but the reality is those are isolate situations, which usually happen because we dont have a shot maker. The shots are there, we dont need someone who's going to create them, just someone who can knock them down, that alone will open up opportunities for guys like brooks, scola, and even trevor
Im tellin ya, he's gonna suprise some folks! I love his game and he really stepped up in NOLA when Chandler went out with that foot injury.
Lol. Poor old Armstrong there is like 'damn I got even less chance to play here than before'. The others all seem happy, even Jefferies can still try and secure a spot as a big defender on a good team. Jordan Hill is 'next year I get to play with Yao, nobody's going to guard me! not like when I played with the fat man and Darko'
We have a Go to guy...next season hopefully. Hopefully Kmart can eliminate this fronting problem we've had since forever.
well i think around here the "go to guy" is seens as someone whos going to get 25 ppg. We have guys capable of that in Yao and Martin, but i think we need to forget about that definition and just worry about the players as a whole making shots within this offense. Like it's been expressed in other threads, i feel like this team could be balanced like the championship pistons, maybe even more balanced than they were. basically, if the offense is balanced, but we're losing, fans scream "we need a go to (high scoring) player" If the offense is balanced, but we're winning, fans scream " these guys share the ball very well" Fans assume when we lose the problem is creating offense, but lately good opportunities are there, shots just dont fall.
I'm listening to a recap of 610 interviewing Kevin Martin earlier today, and I don't want to be judgmental, but Martin sounds like a sissy boy. His voice and demeanor sounds timid and I get the feeling women order him around even when he's a millionaire. Just my take.
morey really only stands at about 5'4". he just happens to be sitting on his brass cajones in that picture
You wanted a pie chart of the different types of women that tell Martin to walk their dogs or something? people I'm being facetious with my comment on martin, roll eyes at the ones taking it seriously. But he does have a sissy voice.
