I've been mostly skeptical of the potential of Project Glass but lets see where this goes.

IMF, these might never be for the masses. Certainly not at the beginning.

Pretty cool technology, but I foresee a lot of annoying videos being posted on YouTube once this hits the market.

They won't catch on. Voice recognition is "awkward" to most people who don't want to feel out of place in public.

Yeah it does.......use a widget, open a web browser on your phone. Google also makes money thru google play. Android is platform to deliver advertising that's why it is free.

Just hard for me to understand. Maybe I'm not opening my mind enough

But voice recognition is a hurdle. Wearing an earpiece constantly (or having speakers on the glasses) is a hurdle. And especially having someone focus constantly on something small in the corner of their vision is both an obstruction and a distraction for your eyes. It will hurt your focus, especially when you try to hone in on the small print on the "glass" area and ignore your real vision, even for half-seconds at a time.

I'd imagine there will be a big legal hurdle to allow people to drive with these on (which seems pertinent when GPS is part of the selling point)

Maybe it's a good start for something 10-20 years from now.
