DMO is arguably the Rockets 2nd best option at offense

DMo sits to the right of Harden. Harden is at the head of the table. If Dwight doesn't turn it around he'll be regulated to the kidos table....

DMo might be Rocket's 2nd most influential defender and 2nd best offensive option. I think that makes him our 2nd best player.

One other thing. Rockets playing style deflates PF/C rebounding numbers as well, since a lot of offensive boards are very long because we shoot so many threes. So DMo might actually be a better rebounder than the stats indicate. Same with Dwight/Dorsey/Smith/Jones.

Well see if his play transfers in the playoffs otherwise for right now I wouldn't be calling him the 2nd best on the team.

3 point shots lead to longer rebounds, but they also lead to a significantly higher percentage of offensive rebounds. The same is true of shots close to the rim. Our style of play is why we are 6th in total offensive rebounds, even though we are 16th in field goal attempts.

As for Dmo, he ranks way higher in offensive rebound/36min than he does in defensive rebounds/36 minutes.

Part of Zach Lowes 10 things I like and don't like

    2. Donatas Motiejunas’s Push Shot

Speaking of Western Conference teams without a 3-point-shooting big man! Motiejunas is getting there, but he’s more of a corner-3 specialist for now. But he’s also skilled enough in the paint to keep Houston’s offense moving even amid tighter spacing than Daryl Morey wants.

Motiejunas has been one of the league’s very best post-up players — he’s shooting 56 percent on post-ups, per Synergy! — and he can manufacture buckets on the pick-and-roll even when an opponent big man guarding Dwight Howard, Josh Smith, or Terrence Jones blocks his path to the rim:

Motiejunas’s emergence is one of the best and most important stories of this season.

He should be extremely happy. Got him a banging broad and a new fish tank.

Don't buy them one. Chicks are lazy and taking care of a fish tank is a lot of work.

DMo is probably having the rookies come by and take care of it.
