What are you favorites? Which Stand out for you? Which do you find your self using the most LOL LMAO ROTFLMAO those seem to be the most common Rocket River
I go out of my way to never use them. For one thing I find them annoying, but I also think that in today's texting, lazy manner of typing and communication, bothering to actually type out "in my humble opinion" kind of sets you apart from others. I do occasionally use the QFT and FTW acronyms, though. But partly because I find their brevity adds to the humor of the statement.
I try to avoid these like the plague, but I will uses, FWIW, TIA, and IMO occasionally. Text-wise, I refuse to speak like that. LOL is the only one I text, and that is simply used to describe my statement since I can have dry humor that at times can be taken the wrong way unless I use it.
I also never use abbreviated words when I text message. This is probably going to lead to my death as I make sure to type out correct sentences with proper spelling while driving.
So what you are saying is, like me, it also takes you 5 minutes to type out a text message? I usually try to stay away from acronyms but will on occasion use WTF.
Heck I dunno what half the ones posted in this thread mean Rocket River . . I thought not knowing those things was just me getting old
That is NOTHING to be ashamed of, sir. I also spell out the entire words whilst "texting." I know a lot of people who do. You are not alone. YFAUIA (You fail at interweb acronyms.), because you really shouldn't use periods.
