I study people for a living, at least part of it. I travel. I meet and greet. The media has nothing to do with this, although the defensive attitude of a lot of posters tells me more than I need to know about the accuracy of my statements.

I've always said America was a very conservative nation, as opposed to the free for all orgy movies like "America Pie" depict it to be. And it factors into the identity 3rd generation Asian-Americans search for. Lacking intuition and charisma, they strive to be part of the status quo. So while most cultures would encourage dating a guy based on a similar skillset and ability level, the Asian girl is prejudiced against her own kind because she fears low social status. She looks for someone closer to the American stereotype, so she can establish an identity for herself. And it creates a vast number of complexes.

There are always exceptions, but I'm here to speak about the majority.

They are undesirable by the desirable women of every race. But the world has a way of evening things out, and factors like high IQ's, strong career instincts and nurturing personalities make them desireable as companions.

In Singapore, a city filled with Jags, million dollar penthouses and the gold diggers that accompany this lifestyle, a local told me that a lot of pretty girls look for expats and foreigners to latch on to, followed by established and older Asian men. Attractive girls care less for conservative values and don't feel any loyalty to their parents when it comes to marrying inside the race. I theorize it's due to low testosterone levels and an unassertive nature among the Asian youth.
