good to see that there's some team chemistry, now that rafer and mac are gone, let's see how these guys can respond. we do need a spark off the bench now that AB is starting. hopefully wafer can fill that role.
If we compare every player to MJ, there's going to be a little something lacking in anyone's mindset or game. Ron, to his credit, has been hobbled and in pain much of the year. He obviously couldn't move well until, or even?, recently. Kind of like Battier's situation. However, Ron plays well when he's the wild-card of the team and the ball is moving around. In a non-flow offense, slow-bring the ball up offense, and slacker defense, Ron feels like he's not part of a team.
Ron is the heart and soul of our team. He plays Defense, I bet JVG would of loved to coach him! I am going to buy a Ron Artest Jersey.
Kinda risky considering he'll be an UFA in the summer no? I actually believe he'll be here next year though. You look at that article that was written about Battier, and a lot of that stuff makes sense to me about Artest too. We know how good he is based on the numbers, but he strikes me as one of those people whose value outside the numbers is considerable as well, starting primarily in defense but also with intangibles like "toughness" and his ability to get under the skin of his opponents (Utah and Boston come to mind--we get blown out in Boston without Artest pestering Pierce earlier this year, he came out of an injury just to play that game). Morey seems like the type to keep track of those values more than other teams, plus we'll have the ability to offer more money than others because of cap restrictions. Perhaps he'll make the assessment that Artest is worth it. I don't know which way I'm leaning on that issue yet; I guess it all depends on the price of the contract. Either way though I'll trust Morey.
McGrady goes down, and Ron's trying again. I think that's pathetic. Has anyone else noticed when Ron sees the camera on him, he'll quickly put his arm around someone's shoulder and start talking to them and pointing to things on the floor? I also think it's strange he always seems to know when the camera will be on him. It seems rather clear what motivates Ron and it isn't done for anyone but Ron.[/QUOTE] its called having a bunch of cameras at the game and a cpl guys with mics telling the guys with the cameras what to shoot...kinda like how mostly after every commercial break they come back with some kids dancing or a hot chick
I dunno if it's jut me but the rockets during pre game warm up and right before tip on in the huddle just seems so much more enthusiastic, like a team that is out to give it 100% and really are having fun and gelling together...it may just be me and they always look like that, but i was at the game yesterday and during their huddle right before tip off, it just occured to me....this team finally seems to be motivated.
tough to be motivated when you got Mr "all on me" trying to take credit for W's and not play defense and dominates the ball on offense while trying to pad his own stats. it only takes one guy to mess everything up. he was the highest paid player. noone wanted to call him out right there and then because he always had his injury as an excuse.
Anyone else remember a time when athletes played hard because it was their job? I'm tired of all of them "feeling" crap. Shut it and play already! Leave the soap opera to Vince McMahon and Co. to take care of!
Does anyone remember the last time Ron was playing in Houston and wasnt a Rocket? I think that game went into overtime and Ron was carrying the Kings all by himself. He can carry a team.
Uhm no players have been getting injured since the game started. Atleast Ron and Shane played injured instead of resting. They were not as productive but they still went out there and gave it their all. Shane and Ron both had to sit back out after trying to come back in the rotation. But I guess they have no heart... Quit posting plz.
If yao was the leader type, he wouldve been leading a long time ago. Ron is a alpha male and once tracy and rafer were out, he can do what he do. The best player should be the leader, but sometimes that's just not their thing.
We would've lost that game if not for Novak and or we went into overtime. Artest single handedly shut down Mcgrady down the stretch and he was making all kinds of shots. Another one of the many games where he "imposed" his will this year was against the Jazz. He single handedly led us to victory. Ron's not the most athletic/fastest/flashy/smooth/highlight reel player but the guy plays hard and he's rock solid and he gets the job done. Big ups to Tru Warier.
Perhaps it is possible to put 1 and 1 together and not just see a 2. It's the idea. Your logic is really bad and you should go back to school.
