this may sound crude, but how does one walk for the head to be behind the body... surely he must've had an awkward stride... anyway, the witness must be scared to pieces

I've read a blurb about the Dyatlov Pass incident before.

Turns out there is a pretty logical explanation for what happened there.

He was outside the elevator and attempting to enter it. He was walking head-first and the doors closed on his head.

My guess would be that he had his head down reading something.

Hey Bro, here's a cool story.

Last week as I waited for the tsunami to hit Hawaii, I did a little research on some isolated islands in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. One of the islands I stumbled upon was Pitcairn Island. Pitcairn Island has a population of about 50 people(from nine families), and many of these people are direct descendants of the Bounty mutineers. It appears that the descendants of Fletcher Christian and the other mutineers have been living almost all alone on this tiny island for the past 200 years. These are the links to Pitcairn Island and the story about the Bounty. Anyway, I thought it was interesting.

And THAT is the most interesting aspect of the article! :p. just kidding. the logic behind it is pretty amazing to me. My calculus teacher showed us that paradox and for some reason it has always stuck with me...

i never knew potatoes originated from Peru until i say Modern Marvels do an entire episode about potatoes.

It's amazing to think how quickly they spread and became such staples in diets.
