When you say "Tmac to play" anyone else wonder what that means? I mean is he going to really try hard, or is he just going through the motions? DD
But in order for him to get his 4 points of the night, the Rox would have to sacrifice at least 10 of Von Wafer's 17 points. So in the end we will lose even more with T-Mac. With the way T-Mac has been playing in the past few games. He better sit out. His appearance on the court was hurting the team.
agreed.. id rather not see him out there half-assing it and "resting" than suiting up and playing simply b/c he's supposed to. i like our chances w/o him right now more than i do with him
The next two weeks are crucial to Tmac. If he couldn't play at a high level, he would be out of this year's all-star game. Actually, he would be out of all-star games forever! If that happened, his next contract would be very low and his adidas commecial would be affected too. I think he will play pretty well in next several games.
his teammates better be pissed off. everyone in the city of houston knows it too. i wonder what rafer alston would say if he could tell the truth without any reprocussion. he already called him out on his lack of effort very subtedly.
I really, really don't think Tracy gives a damn about the all-star game. That's probably the furthest thing from his mind.
Really?! You should go to Tmac's website to see what's going on. For nba players, ASG not only means honor, but also means money!
Not at all. I mean, I am sure that durvasa is right. Tracy is at this stage of his carrer that he doesn't give a DAMN about it. Obviously, it is noce to see that fans like you and hopefully he will be able to play in this game (physically)
DD if I'm Adelman and T-Mac decides to play this next game, at the first sign of T-Mac half stepping it up and down the court, I would bench him for the rest of the game. I think thats the best way a coach can call a guy out without calling him out if you know what I mean. From here on out if T-Mac continues with his moping around its Adelmans fault for putting up with it. Adelman has got to put his foot down for the betterment of the team no matter who's feelings he's going to hurt.
McGrady bashing aside, it makes more sense for him to play the second game of back-to-backs in order to provide some respite for the guys who played the night before.
I was thinking the same thing at first, but maybe it has to do with swelling after the second flight? The first game you have time between your flight and the game to get any post flight swelling under control... on the second half of a back to back you don't have that time between the flight and the game to recover??
I 100% agree, I don't tell the media, but I tell the team, that ANYONE that is not playing hard and within the system is hitting the pine. No holds barred. DD
Maybe he should consider skipping the flight to Philly in that case and just go directly to Boston from Houston?
The problem is that there's no way to disguise the fact that McGrady's on the bench. It's not going to stay in the locker room.
