The reason you laugh is because it's a defense mechanism for you to cope when your head becomes empty when you try to scour it for a sensible response.

I told you that it exists, I didn't say it bothers me personally. There are people that hold things against all of us, I just don't choose to teach my kids that they can't make it because of the odds against them. I don't choose to teach my kids to hate people because of their color, social class or political clout. If anyone choose not to turn the page (like Wright) and deliver a tired old message to the masses about how everyone different from them is against them and it's impossible to make it in these times (meanwhile he drives to his extravagant house in a gated community filled with the types of people supposedly holding him down) then have at it.

I've read your posts and for you to think you are the enlightened one and don't come off as anything but smug and shallow is a laugh.

If you like to laugh at one trick pony's it's no wonder you support a candidate who runs a one trick pony campaign (change).

I don't like Obama for many reasons. Mostly because he's too inexperienced for the job but you can throw in that he's running on an empty campaign, he's not a great debater, his only strength is that he can read a teleprompter well, he throws around stereotypes left and right and he hasn't shown he's a going to be a good leader due to a lack of a backbone. However,in regards to Obama as a presidential candidate, I don't like Obama because he didn't have the balls to say anything to Wright until he was forced too.

Obama claimed he was a uniter, excuse me for holding him to that claim.....

Again...turn the page or better yet, buy a calendar. Are you speaking of the race that represents approx 73% of the population? How did Obama win the Democratic nomination if 73% of the country was out to get him?

The U.S. population's racial distribution in 2006 was as follows:[17]

White alone: 73.9% or 221.3 million
Black or African American alone: 12.2% or 37.1 million
Asian alone: 4.4% or 13.1 million
American Indian or Alaska Native alone: 0.8% or 2.4 million
Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander alone: 0.14% or 0.43 million
Some other race alone: 6.3% or 19.0 million
Two or more races: 2.0% or 6.1 million[18]

Each of the above categories includes people who identify their ethnicity as Hispanic or Latino.[19] U.S. federal law defines Hispanic or Latino as any person of "Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, South or Central American, or other Spanish culture or origin, regardless of race."[20]

Hispanic or Latino of any race: 14.8% or about 44.3 million.[21]
    White Hispanic - 23,154,516
    Black Hispanic - 616,953
American Indian and Alaska Native - 333,880
    Asian Hispanic - 154,694
Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander - 38,964
    Some other race - 18,238,347
Two or more races - 1,714,924

I'm just saying calling people bitter gun toting bible thumpers isn't going to entice them to vote for you.

You, like Obama, don't mind stereotyping "white folk".

I think many Obama backers do realize this, and that is why they back Obama. He is as "white" as he is "black", literally...he must seek compromise between the 2 races.

Its not a pity party...its reality.

If I drive through a neighborhood that is both mostly "black" and has a high crime rate, I lock my doors. Not because I hate "black" people, but because historically, this area has had a lot of crime.

So when people see Obama as the candidate, they doubt he will get a fair chance to suceed because this country has a history of treating "black" people like 3/5ths of a citizen.

50 years ago, "black" citizens weren't allowed to go to the same schools as "white" citizens.

I know exactly where this came from. Yes it was Fox, but it wasn't Fox News!

Things 24 taught me (and possibly many other viewers if they were like me):

    1. Black men can actually be great leaders because of their imposing demeanor and unflinching values. (If Obama wins, he will owe some of his success to this TV show for paving the way for the conception of a black president in the eyes of many.)

    2. Black men get shot.

    3. Never trust the honeys.

im always confused by this....look what the "experienced" George W. Bush has done.

Obviously it doesnt matter how experienced you are. You HAVE to be willing to listen to your cabinet, which Obama says he WILL do

So I cry racism and slavery? Considering that I'm not black that's a rather bizarre defense mechanism for me personally....

Yawn - more of your crusade.

Look I don't care about Wright, nor do I particularly care for Wright; what I'm wondering and what I've asked you many times is how this affects you? Why do you feel so victimized by this? Is it personal? Let me know.

It is definitely smug of me, of course in the face of your shrill "RACE CARD RACE CARD RACE CARD" victimization crutch, it's diffficult to not come off that way.

I support Obama for a number of reasons, change just being one of them. I've had personal experience with him and believe him to be a potentially great president, he's certainly a great candidate, which in and of itself is enough reason to support him given that the absolute lack of ability to govern or of new ideas shown by republicans recently.

I have no further comment on the Wright controversy. It's irrelevant to the issue.

The issue is not Wright, the issue is you; specifically why you always play the victim of reverse racism or race politics. As has been said, it seems to be your calling card in this forum. You're always bringing it up and harping on it.

Is this something that has personally ever happened to you? Yes or No.

Look pardner, the issue isn't me. The issue is you are too damn needy and need to mind your own business. If you have a problem with me, that'd be your problem not mine. Your opinion of my posts is wrong and I could give a damn what you think.

Funny....I thought this was an Obama thread regarding the possibility of an Obama assassination attempt and some suggested it might be racially motivated. This isn't an Ill-skillz thread and this forum isn't designed to open up has Ill-skillz been racially victimized enough to be allowed to express his views on the effects of race in this presidential campaign especially in a thread where race was already brought up before i posted. It's also not a forum where you get to decide the allowable content of anyone's posts.

I have told you I made my comments because your candidate interjected race in to his white guilt campaign. If can't get that through your head then that's tough ****.

Find someone else to be an ass with. You might have a better go at it...
