I just don't get why people keep saying that now that Scola signed for $9 million a year the Rockets are going to have to pay Brooks more than that. They play different positions and next year's market is what's going to set Brook's salary, not Scola's new contract. If he ends up getting $10 million a year, it will be because he earned it, not because Scola got $9 million.
Adelman's Princeton is NOT run and gun... While I agree that we may need a major move, The way you got there was a bit off...imo...
Its not a case of Yao Ming fitting in but a case of how well Coach Adelman fits the team around Yao Ming. Obviously we will have two distinct games a finesse game and a speed game. So speed players who start will need to adapt to a finesse game. ( Battier may be needed after all). Alternatively we may have coach Adelman doing another Tracy McGady performance, in which he forces Yao to leave the team by misusing him, not calling plays for him or not giving him sufficient minutes of playing time. Most of us do not want to see this and hope it will not happen again.
I just can't believe with the talent the Rocekts have there a 7th or 8th seed in the West even if they don't add anyone else.....
Don't believe anything this guy says. He is the same guy that told us Vegas was overrated, but actually has never been there. I propose we start a lynch mob to get Slandballa.
I wasn't aware that there were other big men of Yao's stature to compare him too. He's a 7'6" Chinese giant with a very nice shooting touch. Nobody knows how Yao is going to come back until we actually see him on the court.
If you don't believe than get out of Clutchfans, put 60 wins on the W side and let's role over the Western conference. All I want to know is what can we get for Shane and Jeffries. Our second unit does look very good aginst everyone else Lowry Bud Battier/JT Jeffries/Patterson Hill/Chuck
I Completely disagree with everything this guy said!! I wonder if this dude has even watched a Houston game in the past 5 years!! If he has he should kno we ALWAYS over acheive!!! Reading that was a complete waste and I think I'm actually dumber having read it!!!
Wow! What a useless thread topic. Only personal feelings without anything of validity to substantiate the thought process.
You're right we don't know how Yao is going to be until we see him on the court but there are people here already declaring that we will win 10-15 games more with Yao in the lineup. How is this any different than the author saying we won't improve greatly with Yao in the lineup? Personally, I think we should be having a wait and see attitude.
