is it just me, or wouldn't you CHECK THE DAMN WEATHER REPORT if you were in a new place and had no clue about the weather tendencies of said place?
Is it just me or is every article that portrays Houston as some back-woods town full of idiots written in either the northeast or California? I found articles online from Charlotte, Washington, Canada, Dallas, Miami and other locales where they seemed to give Houston good reviews overall. Sure, they still mention some of the same crap, but their spin is decidedly more positive. I guess it is just the airheadedness of LA LA land or the b****iness that is the east coast.
Even the Hardline on the Ticket in Dallas is being won over by Houston. They have pretty consistently referred to Houston as a "toilet" for years, but they're just raving about everything down there (except their hotel) this week. So I have to assume that they city is doing a veyr good job presenting this Super Bowl, and that those who are complaining are those who would complain about anything.
They went on and on about how great the stadium is (best in the NFL), how cool all the media party stuff was (2nd best ever, and they went on and on about the fireworks), how downtown was shaping up nicely with the MMP and the Toyota Center, that the city is going to get another Super Bowl within ten years because they're doing such a good job with it this year (and because the stadium is so nice) and just other general stuff about how they could get used to living down there now. They've said other stuff, but that's all I remember.
