If a dunker's hands are still on the ball as shot clock expires, is it a violation?

    Good thread, guys. Personally, I think the ball has to be completely out of the player's hand before the shot clock expires for it to count. I still loved Landry's dunk, though :)

    but if he'd missed the dunk and slammed it agains the rim, the shot clock would be reset, right?

    if that holds true, then having the ball partially - even just a smidget inside the rim counts it as good?

    tough one.
