Actually, like Harrisment said, they are spending WAY too much on their military and not enough on food. The country's been suffering famine for awhile and their desperation is showing.

H.Clinton's got some work ahead of her. She needs to put the kid gloves on and try to neutralize this situation. Kim Jong-Il and his regime are borderline insane, and I wouldn't doubt that they're trigger happy to nuke someone and hold their country ransom.

If anything, I'd be extremely worried for the south, and the 48,500 US troops we have over there. Please, I don't want a WWIII, not during this recession/depression.

N. Korea is bluffing. They will be stupid enough to act on their threats. From what I know, they don't have that many allies like we do.

I used to wake up to this video on MTV every now and then back in the late 80s. The "NUKE" thing y'all are talking about reminded me of it.

 

The Iranian and North Korean leaders need to be booted off the planet. Just send them up in a space shuttle (when we are ready to retire the fleet for good) and have the payload bay doors open (on a timer). Then, just dump them into space. See ya!

And they're aiming missiles toward Hawaii? Not tough talk, but history shows unkind consequences to those who touched up on Hawaii before. How can they wipe out US when their full strength missiles might not even reach the US anyways.

Well then why can't a country stuck in the 80s be a nuclear threat? You seemed to insinuate that because they appear to be behind the times and because they're a small country, that their threats shouldn't be taken seriously. But none of that matters if they have a nuke and willing to use it.

 

I bet there are some hard-liners in the PRC hierarchy who remember being as isolated as North Korea and wish China could pull crazy **** like that. Like those kooks in Russia who tried to unseat Gorbachev and ended up just putting a nail in the Soviet coffin.

Amen and you are getting repped for that! Went into my breakroom at work to fix popcorn and all CNN news is talking about is Iran. I'm so sick of hearing about them and North Korea and how those 2 idiot countries want to get rid of everybody that doesn't think like them.
