I hope this truth becomes as widespread as all the lies and half-truths that Rockets org is leaking out right now.

It's crazy how Rockets disinformation is cratering the value of their best asset.

It's the epitome of Trumpian scorched earth policy.

No he doesn’t. Wrong side of the 30’s and this is the type of crud that kills teams down the road. Stone is doing things right, so I’m not worried about a Tucker waste of money extension.

give him 2/18 or even 2/20 then...it’s not like a PJ extension is cutting into some precious cap space we don’t even have

    Yep.

Loyalty and any employment is ridiculous.

Folks forget that Daryl Morey had a reputation the last 14 years of using the franchise with a revolving door when retooling the roster. Players even mentioned it. This is supposed to change one month with a new GM? This is supposed to change for PJ Tucker? Pssshhh.

Cuban's Barea gesture happens how often in the NBA?

Tilman has REALLY been in Tim MacMahon's ear lately pushing narratives.

Trading Chris Paul was a big part of it, but that really wasn't all of it.

The Rockets owner did not want to pay Trevor Ariza a lot of money for one year and losing him essentially cut off any chance the Rockets had with or without Paul because the Rockets had no other swing forwards. Ennis wasn't ever going to work.

Then you had ownership insist on trading Anderson before using him as a trading chip in his last year to bring in another over paid but good player in trade. Not only did the Rockets lose the ability to use that salary to add player salary in trade, but they lose assets to move Anderson.

Then there was the disaster contract negotiations by Tilman with MDA....... and not spending the MLE...... etc

    There's loyalty - and then there's stupidity...

Making sure Gerald Green has a spot on the bench for the vet min is loyalty... (we'll see if he keeps that spot)

Giving PJ Tucker anything beyond a 1 or 2 yr deal for more than the min is just stupidity...

Trading his expiring contract is probably the wise move... adding a 1 year nice payout contract for previous service is loyalty... 2 years is above and beyond... 3yrs for more than the min is stupidity... imo...

As I stated in my signature. The "ripple effects" of all of these things, the not spending, is WHY we are where we are today. Those are ground zero.

Harden is not doing this if Tilman wasn't responsible for the above stuff.

The Rockets treated PJ Tucker like a rented mule for years.... they played him 35 minutes a night.... have him play injured, make him at 6'5" guard centers and run him into the ground................. now all of a sudden they want to be careful ramping him up? Something doesn't make sense.

100% and the thing is that he was only being asked to spend for a team that is good enough to win a title and to take advantage of the prime of a player that gets you 35/7/7 ............. and he couldn't even do that! No one expected him to spend when we are rebuilding or mediocre..... he destroyed the Rockets.

    another reminder:

Not bringing back Ariza for a measly year. The rockets searched for 2 years straight to replace him with cheap fringe players. Who could have as we now know been a valuable trade asset just in case. He's not only been able to get teams guys like Oubre/RoCo but has been signed to significant money since he was gone

Trading for Brandon Knight and Marquese Chriss by attaching De'Anthony Melton to Ryno. Knight/Chriss are absolute trash. Neither helped the team win games, but they did save the team a lot of money

Oh congrats to melton on signing a 4 year $35 mil deal btw.

Anthony’s time with the Rockets proved to be a disaster and within a month the team elected to part-ways with their high-profile free agent signing, but instead of releasing him, they kept him on the roster for close to three months even though he wasn’t in Houston or had any connection to the team. Why? They didn’t want to just eat the rest of his salary

Fertitta told SportsRadio 610 he had no issues with paying the luxury the night before last season’s trade deadline, but instead of adding payroll, the Rockets subtracted. They saved some money by trading Knight, Chriss and a first-round pick in order to add Iman Shumpert, Wade Baldwin and Nik Stauskas. Then, in an incredible display of salary gymnastics, Daryl Morey got the team below the luxury tax line by making a flurry of cost-cutting moves.

Morey pawned Stauskas and Baldwin to Indiana, attaching a second-round pick to them, and he finally found a taker for Anthony’s contract in the Chicago Bulls. To top things off, they just gave Ennis, who was in their rotation, to Philadelphia.

He dumped Gary Clark just before his measly contract became guaranteed.

Oh congrats to Clark on signing a new deal with the Magic btw.

Even in the Capela deal for RoCo, the Rockets could’ve added another player and more salary, but didn’t which allowed them to save money on the deal.

it's just a sheer coincidence that they duck the LT every time. He just needs more time. You'll see.. It's amazing who acts like they pay attention but it's clearly obvious they don't.

I agree. BUT....we have a new coaching staff now. And maybe that is one of many new philosophies.

    Mind Blown!

This makes more sense than a lot of other things and it is right in line with what Lebron has done for his peeps.
