WOW. This is huge. I don't wish injuries to any player. But I don't have any sympathy for the Spurs. We've always had our own dates with the Injury bug.

Wait, your man Pop isn't going to get them through with his amazing game management, play-calling, substitution, and culture-setting skills? If he's the miracle worker you make him out to be, they should still get to the WCF. They have no excuse for not winning the division.

I'm confused. If the loss of Ginobili suddenly makes the Spurs a creampuff draw, why was our win in San Antonio (sans Gino) the other night lauded so heavily?

They don't have a prayer against LA, but I would still put my money on the Spurs in a Rockets-Spurs matchup. Ginobili or not, both Duncan and Parker are still twice as good as any player the Rockets have.

Saying the might have trouble getting out of the first round does not imply they are a cream puff matchup. Have you even seen them play? They are struggling and their rotations are a mess. Usually around this time of year they are a well oiled machine, well that's not the case this season. They will be a hard out. They won't be playing the Suns this year in the first round, this year they will get a much harder matchup. They'll have to advance against a team on the level of the Hornets, and last year they barely got out of the second round against them.

Haha I can't believe Manu quit on his team like that. He knows that they are all about winning every other year and he goes and pulls this kind of screw job. He's definitely fine, but had plans on vacationing with McGrady.

That's a bit of a stretch, and an insult to Yao. Duncan's a bit hobbled, anyway, and won't be 100% for the playoffs. And I don't see that team advancing to the WCF, let alone the finals, with Tony Parker as its leading scorer. They're a good team, no doubt, even without Manu, but not a true contender.

Um, yeah right. The Spurs are doomed. Maybe they limp to the divison title, maybe not. All I know is they have no chance at reaching the Finals, I don't care if Vince Lombardi were the coach.

Because of the various injuries to the 3 stars during the season and the new players on their team, the Spurs never really got their chemistry together. Even if Manu would have been OK, he didn't get enough time with the new guys for them to really get completely comfortable with each other. With Manu out and TD hobbled, stick a fork in the Spurs. They will play hard to the bitter end and might even snatch a 1st round series with some luck, but that's it.

Time to see what "The Great Power Forward of All Time" still has in the tank.

Oh, no team can win 22 in a row when one of your best player out of the season, kid.
If I remember correctly, the Houston Rox win 10 game in a row by beating some scrub team after Yao lead them a 16 win a row last year. 10 games in a row should be the longest recond these years, at least one of them.
