I don't see how this will change much... besides making draft night more interesting.. you can still tank to be one of those "top" 3 teams.

I think that particular plan makes tanking worse. Fighting for the three top slots.

The wheel idea was better. Or simply barring teams from getting their own top 3 pick if their own pick has been in the top 3 twice in the last 6-10 years.

Silly. More incentive to tank because the top 4 teams have almost equal opportunity for the top spot.

Institute a tax. Similar to the luxury tax, where after so many years(let's say 2) of being a bottom 5 record, you start getting taxed. Also institute a repeater tax and an injury exemption of some sort.

That promotes crap teams into being competitive imo

Think that if you made the last 5 teams wear pink for an entire season, that would do it.

Tanking is the wrong issue. The integrity of the game, when super teams are still a thing, are already compromised plenty.

They should relegate teams to the G league for sucking. Soccer style.

This would totally work if G-League teams weren't NBA affiliates. It doesn't make sense that if the Vipers move into the NBA even though they are affiliated with the Rockets.
