Tbh it's disrespectful to even compare current team with 94 and 95 Rockets. Current team is one of the best teams ever assembled while Clutch City was one of the worst title winners. Their SRS was laughable for championship team, basically just above average team that highrolled in the playoffs.
95 added Clyde halfway through, so srs wouldnt be an accurate measure of them. Never seen a team "highroll" through multiple 60+ win teams
How about Hakeem would put Harden on his @$$ coming down the lane, and from there the Beard would be scared SH$&LESS to enter the paint and would settle shooting 3's the rest of the game.
Thats because we had Hakeem, you can't make more of those. Is it better to be the 15-16 warriors or the 94-95 rockets? I would argue that the former team is better than the latter, but an injury here and some small sample size there and your regular season becomes a punchline instead of a highlight.
Hey SNAPPER HEAD........have a little RESPECT for the FOUNDER/OWNER of this site!!!!!! Ok "SMART GUY"!!!!!!
1994 team also had 4+ srs which is championship range Plus with Hakeem and 3pt shooting, they were truly built for the playoffs
if they were playing today, dream would be immediately ejected and suspended multiple games as a result
One other thing I'd like to point out. This current Rocket team we're comparing hasn't won $hit yet and we have NO idea how they'll perform in the playoffs. We think but we don't KNOW. We know Horry was known as Big shot Bob. We know Elie hit the kiss of death shot. We know Cassell hit a HUGE shot against the Knicks @ MSG in the finals with the game on the line. We know what Mad Max did in the 2nd half against the Suns AND we know the HUGE shot he hit in game 7 against the Knicks at the end of the game to bring home the title. We know the Jet hit a HUGE @SS shot against Orlando to send the game into OT. And then there's Dream!!!
Hardest championship runs in history. o Year Champ SRS 1 1995 Houston Rockets 23.96 2 2001 Los Angeles Lakers 22.15 3 1997 Chicago Bulls 20.82 4 2002 Los Angeles Lakers 20.77 5 2000 Los Angeles Lakers 18.79 6 2011 Dallas Mavericks 18.43 7 2014 San Antonio Spurs 18.16 8 1994 Houston Rockets 17.86 9 1993 Chicago Bulls 17.77 10 2010 Los Angeles Lakers 16.92 11 2003 San Antonio Spurs 16.6 12 1996 Chicago Bulls 16.5 13 1998 Chicago Bulls 16.31 14 2009 Los Angeles Lakers 15.65 15 2007 San Antonio Spurs 15.36 16 2005 San Antonio Spurs 15.21 17 1989 Detroit Pistons 13.88 18 2006 Miami Heat 13.82 19 2012 Miami Heat 13.69 20 2015 Golden State Warriors 12.65
Dream was amazing but if who couldn't scare KJ from entering into the lane, he's not preventing Harden from getting there. Let's not romanticize the past.
Charles on the Dan Patrick Show: When they play the Warriors, it'll be a knock down drag out, great series. Harden will have to do it 4 games in a row. No one on the Warriors has to play great. That's what separates the Warriors from other teams. Harden has to play great for the Rockets to win. It'll be a great series. I would pick Golden State. Can Harden play great 4 times in a week against the Warriors? They can talk about these other guys but can Harden play great 4 times? Harden has to play great 4 times in a week for the Rockets to win. That's why I'm picking the Warriors.
I don't think this is true anymore. If Chris Paul, Capela or Harden have an off game, we can still win.
