Maybe the Chuckster is always talking negative about the Rockets because they aren't that good and haven't been for awhile. Think about how far we have fallen since the championship days and the few years after when we were right up there at the top of the league. We used to be consistent title contenders. Now we are making a half a dozen trades a year. The lineup changes constantly from year to year. And haven't made it to the second round of the playoffs since god knows when.

    It's sad, really.

T-mac is not soft. I admire him have to play through all these(bad back & serious personal problems). But i think he is not that mentally strong type of person.

Let's look at a player to whom T-mac is always comparing to, Kobe Bryant. A few seasons ago, Kobe went through some personal issues(facing raping charges, his wife want to divorce him) but he still came to play hard every night and didnt affect his performance on court.

Some players willing to sacrifice their health just to win a basketball game whereas some wont sacrifice their health for it. I think T-mac is the type of person who care more about his family and friends than winning a basketball game. Nothing wrong with it. Is his personalities.

What we can do to is, pray for t-mac, hope everything will be fine soon rather than bashing him.

Man, I wish T-mac hadn't opened himself to the media like this. :( He'll look bad until he reveals what his troubles are and even that won't satisfy all people. Better to have just let the rumors of injury persist and kept the truth of the matter in-house. Now besides having to deal with questions of whether or not he's injured, he's generated all this interest and drama surrounding his private life and will have to deal with questions about whether he's trying to cop-out. Hope someone took him aside after today's media session and told him to cool it. (Though of course if his problems are that serious the image hit he's taking will be the last thing anyone will want to bring up to him  )

so now to accentuate t-mac's "softness," we're praising kobe bryant for being unfazed and callous after he raped a girl?

what about oj? he offed two people and went through the ordeal of a nationally televised murder trial, being villifed everywhere he went. did he cry? did he give in? did he bat an eyelid? hell no! i admire that kind of intestinal fortitude! that oj's a real winner!

I just saw the interview on ESPN. He sounded very down but at the same time he was confident that he will get through it with time. He even break a little laugh saying that people are thinking "what is wrong with him!". Again, he did not say what those issues were and that he was frustrated with the way everything was goin this season and the personnel problems just add more weight and its taking a toll on him. Thats about all he said basically..

I've always been a fan of Barkley, but slowly he is starting to make me never want to hear him again. I don't really want to tune in again unless we have just won something big so I can see him eat his words.

Like i have said before about Chuck. he is there on that panel for one thing. To make those ignorant comments compeltly different from normal thought to stir up problems and talk and keep the ratings high...you think the guy is actually there for any serious conversations? He's there to be the black sheep and talk crap.

You know what? Screw the media.

Yes, they're there to do a job. Yes, freedom of the press is important. Yes, they can provide a valuable service in times of crisis, such as Hurricane Katrina.

But I don't think anything that any media person has ever said about my team has made me like them any more or any less.

    Yao's soft. McGrady's a quitter. Alston's a crybaby. Swift's an idiot. Van Gundy's a tyrant/moper.

Who cares, really? They could be 1-40 on the season and I'd still be watching. As much as I love the media- screw 'em. We just don't need them.

Honestly, I don't think Charles cares one bit about the Rockets or the city of Houston. He came here desperately in search of a ring, and didn't get it...so we became the enemy again, the team that kept him from getting a shot at a ring a couple of years in Phoenix.

Maybe if things would've gone smoother during his time here it would be different, but the whole Pippen situation (and the rumored dislike of Drexler) spoiled things. The only reason he stayed was to get that ring, and then he got to old and really didn't have a choice where he wanted to play.

NEVER! IT IS THE NORM WITH SOME PEOPLE AROUND HERE TO BASH someone WHEN WE LOSE.

    examples:

    GUNDY CAN'T COACH.

    T-MAC IS A WUSS.

    YAO IS TOO SLOW.

    SWIFT IS a bust.

FIRE THE entire ROCKETS squad BECAUSE WE LOST a GAME!!!!!

hahaha jk guys but seriously, let's not hate on TMac so much. He's our guy.

unless kobe is on the rockets (god forbid) HE CAN GO STICK HIS 35 PPG DOWN HIS xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ARGHHGHGHGHGHG

btw next time T-Mac kills a close friend/relative and then goes to court and keeps a steady face, plays his game, etc. praise him for me, would you? (that wasn't to you, jlwee)

my bad, dawg. i started to read your post and saw yet another kobe comparison brought up, in a thread about t-mac's crisis no less, and i went into reflex mode and didn't read the rest of your post.

for the rest of your post, i agree that it sometimes seems t-mac doesn't have that crazed mad dog mentality when it comes to basketball. he just seems to be a laid back type dude who just happens to be blessed with insane physical talent. as we're all aware, it's even documented that baseball, not basketball, is his first love, as if basketball is some sort of afterthought. an afterthought. doin' what he does in a game that's somewhat of an afterthought to him, damn that boy got talent. sorry, off topic....

still, you can see how mentionign kobe's handling of his rape case in this thread as a comparison could get kinda touchy, can't you? but oh well whatever, i see what you're saying, no harm meant.

Not true - Charles was frequently quoted as saying Houston had the best topless bars in the country.

i added sincere thoughts to the thread, just because you disagree or have nothing of substance to add to the thread there is no need for to resort to cheap grade school insults.

there is nothing you have posted that refutes what charles has said. lets see some intelligent conversation from you other than \'charles is ignorant\' - \'glad he\'s not a friend of mine\'.

I know exactly what I said, and I meant what I said as well. Charles doesnt have a clue whats happening with Tmac yet just once again opens his fat mouth before knowing what the situation is.

Its easy to say its a cop out when you have no information, and its not you in the middle of the situation. He didnt even wish the guy a get well or anything.

I personally pray to God that he never has to deal with anything like Tmac has the past 9 years because it'll probably be something just as bad and he wont get any help when he needs it either.
