Everybody, just chill out, there is no need to go into panic mode...Here are reasons to be optimistic for the future Morey is looking to position the Rockets for success by getting younger, and more athletic. Just look at what Portland has done, is exactly what we are doing. Sure this year may suck terribly, but while San Antonio continues to get older, a step slower, so will Dallas. Yeah, they have made damn good moves this offseason, but their window of opportunity is growing smaller and smaller, while the Rockets continue to get younger, build a younger core, and be set for years to come all while attracting 1 or 2 top free agents in 2010. Morey has not traded McGrady so far b/c he has recieved garbage offers, which means he is not making moves just to make moves. I think that Wafer will be resigned, which will leave a core of: Brooks, Lowry, Wafer, Ariza, Landry, Scola, White.....Imagine a Dwayne Wade and/or a Chris Bosh/Michael Redd combination, there are many possibilities out there, but we are retooling for the future.

Ariza might be the star for this season, or for half o a season. But he is a winner, and he has a grudge against the Lakers. Everyone knows the road to a ring runs right through Kobe and the Lakers. If you want a ring, you have to get with someone who has scores to settle with Lakers, kinda like what Cleveland did with Shaq. Problem is Shaq is old new and Kobe is no longer worried about him. Since Kobe has proved to everyone that Shaq is just a championship bopper, atleast with Wade and when he went to Phoenix trying to steal another one. Ariza is the new Shaq , and if Morey plays his card right, can use McGrady to land "a SUPERSTAR" if not before this season/Mid-way season. Then definitely next season. T-Mac's days with the Rockets are numbered regardless. Even if all we get this year are dumb offers like Dalembert for T-Mac or Carter/fillers for T-Mac, Morey has no problem keeping t-mac in the lineup since he is in his contract year. But once this year is over, T-Mac is not gonna just get away for nothing. We will s&t him for a superstar. We are either gonna snap someone from the Lebron/D-wade/Bosh sweepstakes, or we will get a superstar this year. With t-mac, patience is the best virtue. We already have his replacement/building block in Ariza. Battier will be gone too, this year or next. Hurts me to say this, Aaron Brooks is more a very hot trading chip now. Lowry is a better investment than Aaron, at least in the long run. If Brooks stays, he might start beginning of the season, but will move to the bench by the end to develop into a Gilbert Arenas
And I didn't say Lebron AND Dwight. We another SF or a big SG OR an athletic big man who can hold his own without Yao and still play with Yao when Yao returns. Which is why I doubt Dwight will be an option because he is a superstar unless we move him to PF. We need size and the ability to attack the rim at every position. James White might just be the big wing we need, in which case, we will need an athletic PF/C.
why havent i heard anything about rockets trade speculations for boozer? morey usually inquires about anyone and everyone thats available. i know his knee injury might scare dm, but the man can play.
Its not the injury, morey needs size and aggressiveness. Two things Boozer likes, plus Boozer is not loyal and is expensive

either Wafer/white can start alongside trevor. but none of them is quick enough or fast enough to play pg, trevor can guard pgs but he is not quick enough for the offense we want. Aaron is but lack size and weight, Lowry is too short but perfect. So lets try Lowry at the point for a while and look for a nimble big man. Cos we are definitely running this year mr morey, running on defense, running on offense

morey, are we really sure we got ariza?????? is he fully signed morey??? why haven't we seen his jersey???? or are we hoping to surprise the whole texas with the acquisition of ariza#1 and another superstar, and the passing of tma-c. Are we hoping if we they screw us over, we can still hold tma-c without exposing him as a fraud and benefitting from his play. Or do we let that dumb ass keep advertising to the other teams
