My recommendation was based on his price range. I'm glad you spend your time criticizing others for offering a recommendation on a freaking basketball forum, sheesh what are you 50? As far as the commute I drive to downtown everyday and I take the ez tag. My commute is at tops an hour. Now I understand he works at the medical center, shoot me. Oh and I forgot to mention earlier there is a place that opened near my work recently, it's called Camden downtown I think. It seems pretty nice and its right in the heart of downtown.

Check out the Archstone Toscana apartments on N Braeswood. My parents live here atm and its is nice. 288, 610 are both easily accessible. Apart from that the complex is brand new- part of it is still under construction- but the quality is nice. I think it will be a little out of your price range but not by much. The bayou is right here and there are many empty apartments so you can get one with a decent view too.
