[INSANE] Texas legislature gives power to SOS to overturn elections

Scary times…. The party of government overreach is attacking from all angles to consolidate their power.

Once again, as I've mentioned, this is the State GOP waging war on "local control" in any and every place they can.

I'm glad yall give a **** now that it's hitting the metropolitan areas.

 

While there were issues at polling places in HC and the appropriate people should be held accountable, the issues were not large enough to shift the results of any race. This continuing boogie man battle that the republicans keep chasing is just coming off as a power grab that undermines our democracy. It's too bad individuals such as yourself are okay with the approach that's being taken by your party.

 

Yes this is very disturbing pattern of several states taking moves to undermine democracy when it doesnt favor them. Many of the key issues the GOP focuses on are very unpopular and they know that. This is why they are trying to push structural advantages they have built up over decades to keep their hold on power.

We're seeing similar moves in WI, NC, OH and several other states where they hold a strong majority in state legislatures.

They've given up trying to hid anything. DJT emboldened them now they think their view are mainstream and that they can do anything they want. Lie, cheat, steal, embezzle, defraud, discriminate, suppress the vote, gerrymander, what ever they want.

If this next election isn't a resounding blue wave across the country we'll never have another real & fair election.
