Wow, that is some epic win. That driver looked pretty matter-of-fact about telling those people off. I don't think I'd be able to resist the temptation to grin wolfishly as I explained that I had their whole little fiasco on tape, and that I was going to send them the bill for repairs and report them to the authorities. Suck on that, scamming assholes. Because people like that deserve a good face-rubbing by someone smiling dangerously.
I wouldn't even mention it until the cops arrived, then let them tell their side of the story first. This is not a bad idea, anyone know what a setup like that would cost?
You can see the car move a little into the median where the snow/ice is packed up and lost traction, then tried to recorrect into his lane. Probably just a little distraction in bad conditions. Also looking closer, the car doesn't entirely disintegrate as I can make out the car frame being dragged in front of the 18 wheeler. It does look like every piece of plastic paneling shattered on impact though.
WHOA. All things combined to make this a quick death for the driver. R.I.P. Also, the car did NOT disintegrate, it just broke into small pieces. Get a phone grip/suction cup for your iPhone or android phone, turn on the camera. Record when you know you're about to go into heavier traffic. If nothing happens, just erase the day's drive, or archive it. Also, you can buy a small hand-held camera like this, with a tripod attachment, and leave it on. It shouldn't cost more than $100. Nice video, hKEvo... the BMW driver looks totally PwnD at :31 (double-take). Haha...
Unreal. Life can vanish at the blink of an eye. I guess you can say this about all accidents but wrong time wrong place. If the spin-out happens just 2 seconds earlier, driver would have just crashed into a tree probably and made it.
Damn i guess when you record you are asking for something to happen. R.I.P. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Zls3S0ARDnQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Saw it earlier today, really sinks the heart. Makes you think that doing your part on the road isn't enough.
Eh I was going 20 mph... but I was also on a turnaround on unsalted roads. Every time I've slipped and slid around, I was usually turning -- slowly thankfully. I don't think I ever had any problems driving straight. Either way, my driving-in-snow skills suck. *watches newest video* Okay, that's enough of this stuff for me! I can watch movie gore all day, but seeing actual footage of people dying is literally depressing and/or heartbreaking. No thanks!
Cause it looks horrific. I felt sick after watching it. My wife (who's studying for a masters in nursing) showed me a picture of a foot surgery the other day. Ankle really. But it was totally torn open and looked gruesome. But that doesn't bother me because I knew it was a surgery and the person would get better. If it was the exact same picture but you told me it was from a warzone and got hit by a bullet or something, and it would totally gross me out. Similarly, I can't watch videos like this if I think/know the person died. Just sickens me.
I've been in a couple of terrible accidents, only 1 of which was my fault. However, now whenever I drive i constantly have visions of an accident occuring. Technology should come up with some anti accident magnetic sphere around cars lol.
