norway is definitely the place to go to prison. and they are much more lenient than the u.s.

varg vikirnes, of the black metal band burzum was in prison in norway for 17 years. he murdered euronymous, of the band mayhem, by stabbing him in the head several times because he didnt think euronymous was "evil" enough and was also convicted of burning down 4 churches. while he was in prison he recorded 2 albums - but the prison would not allow him to have guitars or drums so they are all ambient keyboard stuff. those mean prison guards!

they also allow for weekend leave and on one of vargs leaves he failed to return and was later caught in switzerland driving a volvo w/ survivalist/camping gear, gps and assault weapons.

all this and he only did 17 years. moral of the story, if you are going to murder people do it in norway.

 

I watched it, and it had it's moments. IMO I wish it would have been more footage and less blah blah blah by his family. It's on "On Demand" for HBO if you missed it fyi.
