How has Iverson done with those 2 things? Just kidding...

Brooks has been passing very well on the pick and pop with Scola and Landry, and he has also done well driving in and passing it out to the corner, and don't forget that through the lane bounce pass to Barry on the back cut.

There are huge signs of improvement, is he Nash? Well no...but he is making massive strides.

I don't like Rafer that much, clearly, but I do like him when he is hitting his shots....but he needs to sit when he isn't, at least now we have a legitimate alternative.

Back on Topic.....glad all three are ok, but I am not surprised, figured none were all that hurt.

those two things are more than what he provided last year. those two things are exactly what you need from a backup pg.

you sound like those two things are negatives when in fact they have been huge positives. imagine if brooks truly needed two weeks to heal. Our record would be a little worse than it is now.

fyi - 7% is a huge difference...just imagine if rafer could shoot 45% as opposed to his normal career avg of 38%. He just may have brooks on the bench longer than he has.

i dont think exaggeration exactly correct for Tmac's comments. Ever heard of a 'glass-half-empty' type of guy? He's just being honest and makes negative comments about himself. what's wrong with that?

I cant believe people frown on honesty and humility nowadays.

also, the doctors said his operation takes 6-9months to recover from. Right now, he's at his 6th month. So he was playing even before he was fully recovered. I cant believe you guys cant appreciate what he's doing. he got injured playing for the rockets and he's playing while still recovering from a surgery, not to mention, he still got his back and shoulder problems. he's out there earning each cent of that 20m contract of his. it's not as if he shut down himself an entire season (e.g. arenas). i really just cant believe some of the guys here.

sometimes i wish the doctors tell him to shut it down for an entire season and see how rockets go without him on the lineup. but of course the fans here probably wont even appreciate what he brought to the team when he played. all they'd see is a 20m guy riding the pine and they would probably ask to trade him away even if it is not his fault he's injured. simple, irrational hate.

I'm not saying those two things are bad. But if those are the only things he's good at, he won't be a starter anytime soon IMO, at least not on this team. YAs as now people have already been complaining about Yao not getting enough touches, or T-Mac not moving without the ball well. Imagine if Brooks starts with those guys, and dribbles around Francis-ish.

HELL YES. I really need him to play on Friday against the Wizards cause I'm goin to the game. I went 2 years ago, he left in 4th quarter with injury. Went last year, he was injured. And I hope this year, he actually plays the whole game.

I am glad all three are fine. I also hope to see Battier and Francis in the game soon. Then we would be able to see how well our various combinations of players can play against different teams.

From the Chron article posted on page 1 of this thread:
Battier talking about the pain lingering through the season worries me a little. But if there's any Rocket who can fight through it and still give his best, it's this guy.

I hope it doesn't linger, he is an important piece to our puzzle.

Yes, and Tracy was right all along about his condition, when he started complaining about knee pains toward the end of last season.

I seriously question our medical staff's ability. I mean, come on, is it really that hard to discover this kind of injuries?

    Get a MRI now, Tmac!

Based on what I described and the main premise of this thread, you can make an educated guess that it's T-Mac :D

It looks like Battier's injury is like Tmac...they both have to play with pain. That kind of suck because i thought Battier is free of pain after so many days of rest.

ya i woudlnt be surprised if our big 3 play vs dallas. didnt look like anything bad happeend to them. prolly will play hurt but w/e, thats wat houston rockets basketball all about, playing hurt, every daam season.

seeing shane guarding josh howard would be a cool surprise. last time he lit us up but of corse that didnt matter.

either way we should handle dallas. its too bad that our best players are all somewhat hurt. but its at the beggingng of the season rather than the end which isnt bad but still, enough w/ the ****in injuries

No offense but seriously... Is there nothing more productive than a lame...attempt to poke fan at something.
