Oh come on, stop apologizing for the guy, he gets paid $20 million to perform.

If he is injured, sit, but so often he exaggerates matters and it makes him lose credibility.

Tmac is in the Roll eyes category now-a-days, you can't believe anything the guy says.

That is true. But we know this already. It's been that way for a while. T-Mac is known to exaggerate and say things most players wouldnt.

My point is, at this point, does it really matter? If he's playing, good. If he's not, fine. We have Artest. It's up to Mac and the training staff to see if he's good enough to play, but we know he's going to be out there limping around. At least he's trying. If that's not good enough, then sit him until he's healthy enough to not limp around.

Just as long as this team makes it safely to the playoffs and he shows up and perfroms when the time comes (this goes for anyone on the team, not just McGrady), do you mind some inconsistency and some on and off play?

this team is very schizophrenic when it comes to injuries. Battier's injury prognosis doesn't look good tho

That's because you have never met me yet. I always think of the worst, which is why I understand where Tmac is coming from.

Yea the thing about the user name was nothing but a joke. :D
But I don't think hes faking the toughness I mean why would he? What would be the point? People are going to call him soft no matter what.

What does his wage have to do with his injury? Fact is since his first season here, Tracy has played hurt. He has also never lied to us about how his health is. He doesn't say what is politically correct. He will tell you if he feels great or if playing hurt.
He has been honest about his knee from the start of the season and the pattern of his play perfectly fits with what he has said.

Let's get off this guys back for once. If anyone wants to get out of the first round and win a Championship it is Mcgrady. The amount of money he is getting shouldn't matter when he is playing ball with a screwed up shoulder and knee.

McGrady, Yao, Artest, Battier, Alston and Landry all had surgery either during last season or the off-season. McGrady topped the big three with 66 games.

I mean, you think he exaggerated it last night? Either he was in pain or he was scared about the long-term health of his knee.. or both. I don't think we can doubt that.

And today it was better. And he got out there and practiced and told us it wasn't serious (not in those words).

I'm fine with that. He didn't drag it on and on...they made a determination, and clearly as soon as he realized it was ok (after a night of rest), he made that news public. That seems like anti-drama to me (as opposed to dragging it out to a gametime decision and such)

I guess the only thing you could be thinking here is that he got scared about his knee too easily? I don't know...I'd rather him be cautious about it anyway, at this point..

Imagine last season some people were comparing Tmac playing with a bum shoulder and knee to Kobe playing with the torn ligament in his pinky.

No, he can't. It's really a case of damned if he does damned if he doesn't with many people on this board. Just get used to it and move on.

All very good points kaleidosky but once DD starts harping on someone, see JVG, Vspan...., he'll never drop it or see any opposing views.

Yes I do actually. He didn't injure his knee yesterday, he just tweaked it. It's been a nagging injury this entire season according to Tracy. If it is more seious than we thought, until he rests it (then we can see if it's going to heal with time or not), he's going to be limping around. Some days it will feel stronger than others, and he might tweak it again at points during the season. I think we can safely assume it's best to expect inconsistent play at this point from Tracy as well as Battier when he returns.

We have yet to see how Ron and Yao are affected by their respective injuries, but we will find out tomorrow. And the same goes for Yao and Ron and Battier and whoever that goes for Tracy. I can handle inconsistent play personally, but making the playoffs is a priority for this team. Once the playoffs arrive, all bets are off when talking about injuries. I don't want to hear any excuses in the playoffs. Nothing about Battier's ankle. Or T-Mac's knee. Or whatever T-Mac says about his knee. Or Yao's foot. Just play and play hard and play well and leave it all out there.

I think as fans who watch basketball, we will be able to tell who's trying out there.

Thats great news that battier is back to practicing. I wish we could just find some trade for tmac how about rip hamiliton that guy would make this team so much better. A guy who has heart comes of screens hard and shoots the ball very well. on the other hand why would the pistons want a has been i guess. this is the first year ive been really down on tmac. its like he dosent care. come on tmac you have a superstar in artest and yao. artest could break his hand and still get out on the court and play. Tmac needs to suck it up and watch artest.

I wonder where all these "McGrady is a p***y" people are going to go once this team starts dominating again.

I guess if there's one thing I have to respect someone like antisonic for, it's that he's one of the few haters that hates consistently and constantly, regardless of the situation.

I really didn't like that whole thing about Battier playing in pain the entire year. That doesn't sound to me like a minor injury that is healing.

As for Tmac, I don't want him to come back yet. He needs to rest that knee. This whole idea of strengthening his knee by playing is ridiculous. All he is gonna achieve by doing that is screwing it up further.
