Yes, a hyper extension hurts like hell. All of you people questioning Tmac's toughness are mistaken. Also, he didn't seem to be in that much pain compared to the injury. I think it will take more than a week to get his strength back.

What is up with all the pessimism with TMac out?

Geez, right before Yao hurt his knee last year, TMac was out for a couple of weeks and Yao carried them and won plenty of games especially on a long east coast trip.

    great news on Tmac!

Sometimes I dont understand the Rockets, its been like this for the past few years as well, its absolutely killing me...Why is it that we always lose to talented low calibre teams, the Grizzilies( defeated by Bucks tonight), and the Lakers...we are seriously inconsistent.

Let's see the bright side of this game: RA is forced to use Francis now, at least an one week trial period while Tmac is out...

    Let us all Believe.

I mean what happened to the days when they would just shoot your arm up with a shot and players would play with a broken arm or ankle ? Hell my index finger is broke in two places right now from softball and it hurts like a b**** !

If it was THAT serious he would have had to be carried off the court on a stretcher. Again, I hate to beat up on him but he is good for 10-15 "Oh no, he is really, really hurt" moments per season that turn out to be minor injuries. This injury is actually more severe than I thought considering I have seen him make a cramp in his quad look like a gunshot wound based on his facial expressions and parading around the court in agony.

I'm just glad it isn't the back.

still sucks. van gundy's completely right, the difference between the 3rd seed and the 4th seed is HUGE. mcgrady being out for a week probably doesn't kill our chances of the 3rd seed, but playing in a conference with the spurs, suns, and mavericks means every single game is important when it comes to seeding. it's like the nfl.

on the good side, like others i get too worked up on these rocket's games. sometimes i actually enjoy the nights we don't play because they are a lot less stressful. if t-mac's out these next 3 games i already expect us to lose, so the anxiousness is gone. if we win it'll be a pleasant surprise.

Well in that case lets twist your arm around, take you to the hospital for MRI's so you can have your 15 minutes of parading :D

Well I'm just predicting that's the case, well hoping that would be the case. Fingers crossed. Maybe Francis could be the missing piece, COULD.

I hope you are joking. Why would you want a one armed player out there with a swollen elbow that will make it worse in the long run? I think everyone has played sports with broken fingers too BTW. Totally different.
