Hahaha that was a good laugh. I still laugh at that even though I have read it 3 times. I just imagine his face and a parade with trumpets and jokers...lol too good.
THANK GOD!!!!! As my GF has kindly pointed out, it's times like this that make it quite obvious that I care about this basketball team WAYYYYYYYYYYYY too much.... See ya in a week T-Mac. Hell, take 2.....
Matt Bullard said we should/could see Steve in the next few games in his postgame comments. Glad to hear tmac say this is not too serious and he would miss a week, maybe less-- I fear a 4-5 game slide including the 2 current Ls.
Yeah my buddy told me that he used to play footall with several broken fingers at a time but man I broke it at the knuckle and fingertip and I can't even bend it......and it was a serious question ! Back in the days they would limp into the clubhouse and come back like nothing had ever happened....Just wondering !
i could care less bout this laker game or the next three, the bigger picture is t-mac is goin to be OK, and thats great news to me.
Just that it hurt like hell and he couldn't feel his fingers til he got to the hospital and that he was day to day....strained muscle......He wanted to play in every game this year....
http://blogs.chron.com/franblinebury/2007/11/the_good_news_for_tmac_its_onl.html Man I wish I could've seen the reporters' faces when he said that.
but no one is paying you +$20mil to play softball right? owners will still pay injured players so they would rather lose a game or two just to give Tmac a good rest than risking out-for-the-year injury only dumb people like Isiah Thomas will play thru injury (or if this is game 7 of the NBA finals, although i will admit Isiah's performance in that game is prolly the best in NBA history)
wow so it's day to day? this dude's pain threshold is crazy. must develop that from the back spasms. but let's not rush back. use this stretch to develop the role players and their place in the offense. and feed the beast in yao.
Yeah I know what you mean. I think it is the business side of sports trying to protect their players. If the player is still better than the alternatives even with the injury and it is an important game I like this thinking. Other than that I'm glad they don't do that for unimportant games.
What sucks is the amount of games we're playing to division rivals in the next couple weeks. Without T-Mac, our chances of winning those games are very poor. So, that's like getting penalized twice -- a loss for us, and a win for them.
Here are the main quotes off the TV interview... http://www.clutchfans.net/news/1446/no_tear_mcgradys_injury_just_strain/
Yeah and some guy who won game 7 for the Knicks on one leg.....I agree with you ! I was really just wondering how back in the day you didn't see so many injuries and guys really were getting hurt then playing as if nothng happen......
