LOL! LOL! LOL! Almoooooooooooooo is a hypocryt! LOL!!! Man, that was/still is the funniest post ever! Even Clutch's first reaction was O MY GOD.... LOL!!! Sorry to change the subject. But can you BELIEVE that was 9 years ago??? LHUTZ...WHERE ARE YOU NOW?
[Johnny Fontane is discussing his problems with Woltz] Johnny Fontane: Oh, Godfather, I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do. Don Corleone: [shouts] You can act like a man! [he slaps Johnny] Don Corleone: What's the matter with you. Is this how you turned out? A Hollywood finocchio that cries like a woman. [Don Corleone imitates him sobbing] Don Corleone: What can I do? [camera pans to Tom who is laughing] Don Corleone: What can I do? What is that nonsense. Ridiculous.
Give T-Mac some Shiling Oil and tell him rub his back with it. Trust me, it can heal anything and probably cure AIDS.
Thanks, R2K. My guess is that something he did earlier in the game set up this back strain. What he did to contest this shot wasn't anything that would, in and of itself, cause a reaction like that, imo. I'm one of those people who've had back surgery, as you know, and I've figured out that attempting to compare my problems, which persist, or anyone else's to Tracy is just ludicrous. We can give informed opinions, based on our own experiences, but they carry no more weight that an opinion from a guy who's back is in perfect shape. This is my first post since this happened. I'm just really depressed about it. We are playing at such a high level, defensively, and are improving game by game in all facets as a team. The Rocks, except for the missing Bouncey Whales, are so much better from last year with the additions from CD, and the improvement from Luther, for example. Heck, even Howard is coming around! To have this crop up again from McGrady is devastating. I am well and truly bummed out. One can only imagine how Tracy and the rest of the Rockets and the coaching staff feel. Please let it be a minor, freaky thing that goes away, never to return.
i agree with that statement.....also try to hoop with a f-ed up big toe and see if you can do it effectivley (for all the ppl dissing yao last year) and shaq (although i dont like him) big toe injuries are very painful
Seriously, I'm hoping for the same. Last night was going so nicely, then all of a sudden T-Mac went out. Same deal with the season, we are currently on a roll, and T-Mac himself is starting to come around back into full swing, right where we need him. I just hope he plays on Tuesday like this never happened and God-willing this back spasm doesn't come up again.
i dont understand why ppl keep coming with the tmac quotes. he can say anything he wants. we shouldnt believe it until we see it...
i really dont want tmac to rush his return..we've won 14 out of our first 20 games..we can afford a couple of games without him.
because he seems to be taking it safe this year. Plus he says it's different and he could walk off the court himself. You are right though, we can only be sure when we see Tmac play.
THATS WHAT im thinking. especially if kobe sits out on tuesday. we can kill the lakers without tmac if they're w/o bryant
i think tracy's back will always act up on him, serious or minor, kinda like bagwell's shoulder. Maybe that's why tmac wanted to retire in 3 more years..
If TMac can't play on Tuesday, who will be the starter ag SG? If Head then we will have a really small back court... or may be Spanoulis? Is he ready?
Without Kirk Snyder or Bonzi Wells on the team, we don't match up well with the Lakers, at all. We only have two wing players with size capable of checking Kobe, and that's McGrady and Battier. Spanoulis will probably get some time on him, but Luther Head will be absolutely destroyed trying to guard Kobe.
i heard on sportscenter that tmac said hed play on tues it was during the highlight of the wiz game yest, dont know the truth to it though
It's about time that we we all came to our senses and realized that T Mac has a damaged back and will never be the Old T Mac. if we stop expecting him to be what he isn't then there is a decent chance that T Mac can come back and make a substantial contribution to the Rocket's success story! Gone will be the high flying super sharp shooter of yesteryear and in his place will be a great scoring playmaker who can average 15 points and 12 assists a game. This is approx.what I posted prior to the season.
I had a funny exchange with Fran Blinebury. I was making fun of him. Can't believe he responded. Here it is: http://blogs.chron.com/franblinebury/2006/12/tcracked_mcgradys_bad_back_mea.html Hey Fran Comparing McGrady to Bagwell is blasphemous for a couple of reasons. First, to use your baseball analogy, your buddy Les didn't say if McGrady was healthy he was the second coming of Jeff Bagwell. He said T-Mac is Barry Bonds. Even if McGrady loses some explosiveness, he can't just hit; he can also pitch and field the ball. In other words, if he loses a step, he can still be more athletic than Bagwell was when he was healthy. Or worst case, if his game declines he's good enough that he can play for the Astros and replace Bagwell or Pettit. Second, Tracy has had back spasms each season for the past 5 years now, yet he was scoring champion in 2 of those. Saying that his career is over after the latest episode is a bit over the top, don't you think? Why wouldn't he come back strong the same way he has before? Third, it seems you are unfamiliar with the concept of buying low and selling high. You seem to want to trade players when they are on the shelf so opposing GMs can be really impressed with their dress code or stationary bike performance (see McGrady and Wells). Give the man some props for playing well even though he might not be comfortable and confident on the court. Calling him T-Crack will not endear you in the Rockets locker room. Are you sending Jonathan to do all the dirty (literally and figuratively) work while you are sitting on your high horse? Gary, Let's work in reverse: 1--I referred to him as "T-Cracked." As in broken, cracked. In addition, I said that you could not trade McGrady now (low). I said the time for that was before the contract or last summer (high). Also, as the result of a lawsuit following a car accident, a judge awarded me Jonathan as my butler. So, yes, I have him doing all of my dirty work. 2--As I said, back injuries don't usually get better. They deteriorate. The fact that they are coming more frequently should be a concern. 3--At $15 million a year, the Rockets need him to be more than a role player.
