I think like any athlete that thinks his body can still function as before, TMAC is cocky. He started to dunk and post up during the blowout. This just shows that the theory of him saving himself for the playoffs won't work. He cannot take playoff basketball.
I don't really know WTH are you talking about. Tonight's game where T-Mac is injured definitely is not a blowout. And he was not injured due to dunking and posting up, but defending Arena
just saw the highlights.(thanks r2k) mcgrady was quick last night. he really did look like his old self again. even when he was shooting jumpers, he looked confident. his whole demeanor was different. hope he's alright.
dammit to hell, why, why, why , and what makes this worse is that we play the Spurs on the 15th, somebody needs to really step it up and pull the weight of T-Mac, I think it should be Battier, he hasn't shown up in the Box scores, and now is the time all he needs to do is make big plays, Yao/Battier(at least until T-Mac can quit acting like a b**** with his back
Agreed.. I get minor ones once in a while and they are seriously painful. Feels like a constrictor snake around your spine.
I do think traditional Chinese medical science will be very effective to TMac's back problem. I live in Taiwan, Republic of China. I used to go to clinic of Chinese medicine for cure when my angles is broken, or get some charley horse on my leg. The cure is composed of acupuncture, physical therapy and so on. And it's normally recovered faster than western medical science. Maybe Yao could introduce some good doctors of Chinese medicine. It will help a lot.
Which LHutz. The original LHutz that was a funny, driveling moron, or the second reincarnation of Hutz who was obviously a faker Hutz? Do any of these posters even remember LHutz. LOL.
Man, LHutz was the funniest poster I have ever read, I literally had tears streaming down my cheeks and my gut was in pain from laughing so hard. That one about LHutz going on a date or something...wow. DD
Not to derail this thread, but nothing ever will top the thread where LHutz calls out Almooooooooooo! LOL.
Just curious, is this back spasm issue so hard to get over at all? Maybe Tmac should try some alternative therapy. I'm sure he'd tried chiropractic and various medicine. But clearly it didn't work TOO well and it is still tradidional Ameriaca therapy. I think some alternative therapies could work for him. When it comes to Chinese therapy, people often think acupunture and herbal medicine are the only things. Actually they do work well on many patients as an alternative to traditional western therapy. Tracy should try it. It's extremly safe at least with help of qualified doctors. And thousands of miracles(by traditional standard) DID happen. Nevertheless, acupunture is only a passive therapy. There are quite a few active therapies which not only heals the patient but also strengthen the athletic ability and durability of the patient. Many of you must have heard of Taichi. Taichi is just an example of these therapies (or maybe exercise is the better word) which enhance the synchronization of one's muscles, breath and concentration greatly. The beauty of these kinds of exercises is that if practised well, the exerciser can have better ability of controlling his OWN muscle synchroniztion, rather than relying on a doctor or trainer. Isn't that what we hope Tracy would be doing? Of course they takes longer time to show their effects but the effects are also more enduring. Bottom line is they could work! Combined with acupunture etc., it might even clear the spasm problem out of the horizon. One of the reasons that these kind of exercises do not have too much respect is because they require the patients themselves to spend some time and effort to work. (Don't most of us just wish to have a magic pill or magic hand which can cure our problems and we only have to pay for it.) Well, I think it shouldn't be an issue for Tmac. If he has to do extra weight-lifting or whatever as part of the healing process, why can't he spend some time and efforts to exercise something new and more effective? At least Taichi pratices or alike are not as boring as weight-lifting. The point is that Tmac's back problem will be a pivotal issue for the team for quite a few years down the road. It deserves to exhaust investigation into all workable therapies to resolve the issue in a long run. And geez, there are quite some good things out there can help. It'd be such a pity if the season were ruined because of a correctable problem. Maybe someone could open up a new thread on this so that people can have more discussion.
I'm sorry to hear your condition. But thanks for the insight. I know we all wish Tmac would always be at 100%, but we've got to be realistic. And Tmac isn't Shaq. I think he'll play whenever he can. Here's to a speedy recovery for Tmac.
As much as I dislike Kobe, I want to see him play. Of course, it goes without saying that I want to see Tracy play as well .
Mcgrady should try Yoga. http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Basketball/NBA/Toronto/2006/01/17/1398267-sun.html
