Tmac is a true warrior. He will play the next game if he can walk. And he will prove to everyone that he's on another level than Kobe.

That would be a very, very tough pill for me, as a Rockets fan, to swallow. Iverson is not a Rockets'-type player, and besides, I don't think the 76ers would take TMac for him.

too bad Tmac has been playing great overall and his fg % have been getting way better...barring the Wolves game....

I say rest Tmac for the next 2 games...bring in Fat ass Bonzi...

if Bonzi dosent play then we know...where we stand

the play showing waht happened to him.

it is obvious he didnt step on arenas, but it was the stretch out to contest the shot that strained his back.

I think earlier in the game he went up and landed akwardly and was noticebly limping down the court. He was still able to block a jumper on that same play though. I think that may have been what he meant by "landing on someone's foot"

while it didnt look nice, its good to hear that it doesnt sound like anything serious right now.

What sort of rehab has T-MAC done for his back? Has he ever gone to a chiropractor? Maybe acupuncture?

Looking at the clip R2K posted, I think it was definitely over-extension that made his back spazz up.

Look at the position of his legs and his upper body at the peak of his jump. That's a back hyper-extension to me if I ever saw one. Most players will feel that, much less someone with an already bad back.

I don't think it'll be as serious as the injuries last year though.

Tmac's back is like a time bomb, we don't know when it will explode. As you see in the game against Wizard, he just jumped and strained his back, that's terrible. Without Tmac, Rockets can not be a champion contender this year.

Tmac really needs to find a efficacious therapy (acupuncture???) to uproot this bothering back problem. God bless him

and here i was hoping that tmac's back spams wouldn't come back...if this continues to persist and he isn't able to revert back to being "t-mac" and not just regular ol' tracy mcgrady...we're doomed..someone please tell me i'm just being paranoid :(

He did it in the air. he grabbed he's back just before he landed. when he jumped, the damage was done.

I saw that in the highlight on nba website. I think that's it. Nevertheless, Tmac is fragile. Because of his contract, we can only pray that he will be healthy comes playoff time, cause no other team will take his contract.

I used to play a lot of hoops, but ended up getting creamed in a couple of car accidents resulting in a similiar injury as TMac.This is a chronic deal and it isn't going away.He will be subject to this sort of thing for the rest of his career.Tmac will be leaning against the vanity area while brushing his teeth for awhile. The back can be reinjured so many ways after the initial time and the resulting spasms are brutal.Damage to L1 and L2 with resulting pain down the sciatic nerve is a b****.Hopefully our boy can get back on the horse in a week.I really feel for him not only because I'm a Rockets fan but because I know what he's going through.
I eventually had to give up hoops and now swim and ski down mountains. Both of these activities loosen and strengthen one's back.
The pounding you take on the basketball court is massive at his stage.
Get to feeling better Tracy! We need you.

OMT....Tracy really seemed to be finding out what he was capable of out there and was starting to become much more confident and more efficient.
It's really a shame this had to happen now as he was just starting to get comfortable in his own skin out there again.
