Yeah, everyone was saying that in the chatroom too. I didn't see it, myself, so I'm just taking you guys' word for it.

    I don't buy it.

I'll leave it alone. I just think it's insulting.

TRACY McGRADY said on his back injury:

“Back spasms. I don’t know what happened – I stepped on somebody’s foot and I lost my footing and a spasm shot to my back immediately. I think it’s a little different. The pain level is definitely different. I feel pretty good right now walking around.”

    I guess we are good.

I'd love to believe him, but I've been through a lot of similar injuries. The first time you re-aggravate it, it's not that bad, but over the next few days and a night of sleep, without any adrenaline and a stiff body, the injury feels 10x worse. I'll be glad to see him back on Tuesday because that would mean it was something different, but it's not looking good.

Yes. He's covered them for over 15 years now. He writes special articles on them, and blogs every game.

They should take every precaution with this thing and not rush him back too quick. Having said that I guess his back could act up at any time, maybe just play him on plenty of rest and sit him on back to back games.

I was watching the highlights on NBA TV a few minutes ago and it looked like Tracy was clutching his back on his way down from the jump while he was defending Arenas; before his feet had touched down. It probably doesn't make a difference, but it was interesting to me.

In any case, here's hoping he is okay and doesn't miss any significant time. It must be so frustrating to him, given how he well he had been playing prior to that incident. We are rooting for ya Tracy!

I don't think so. For Rox, Bonzi's time is over.

Regular season is much longer and harder than what we can imagine. I hope T-Mac has a carefree 10-day vacation.

I hope you are right. I can't handle a repeat of last season where Yao took all the load and eventually was hurt...b/c of that.

Heck, even a microcosm of last year would be unbearable.

I think it's very clear that T-mac hurt his back because he landed on someone's foot. The very quote from T-mac himself proves this.

While this injury still blows, the one positive is that he didn't hurt himself just coming off a regular jump like he was doing last season. This time, it took landing on someone's ankle to set things off... and you're not gonna land on someone's ankle all that often.

Let's hope the injury doesn't worsen his susceptbility to getting injured.

Tmac did not land on anybody. Back spasms are difficult to deal with, but Tmac will pull through. THere are a lot of players in NBa history that had succesful careers through teir back spasms. I think Patrick Ewing had them often too

you can see the difference of this game than others games T-mac played. He POSTED UP more than any other games I've seen,That probably triggered the back spasm because the defender put his arms in T-mac lower back. It's just my guess.hopefully because of this back spasm, T-mac won't resort to shooting jumpers more again in games

Now please don't blame T-MAC he's not attacking the rim. It's too risky for his current condition. I am happy he's only be a playmaker during regular season.
